Well, there are only so many touches for interior runs on 1st/2d down, so I'm sure he will have to get creative.

OL is a ton of different combinations because the three top tackle candidates play guard and two of the interior guys (SJ and Buchanon) play guard and center.

The rotations are very wide right now. This is still a very competitive portion of camp.

I’m arrow up on the tight ends. There will be growing pains but they are super talented and have a good coach.

1. The top three tackles are also playing guard, SJ and Buchanon are playing guard and center. It’s very unsettled right now.
2. I think Dylan Day and JJ Dunnigan will be the backup safeties and play a lot.
3. Keona Davis can play out there. Asharri Charles is another name.
4. Athletic but it’s early. They have a lot of experienced names in front of them.

I don’t see it with Dylan Day at all.

Always around the ball missing the tackle. So many almost plays as a gunner. A serviceable back up but primed to get passed up imo.

Last year we saw our team “let it all hang out” after the SMU loss.
Do you think our offensive playcalling will continue with that from day 1? The reason I ask is because last year we went deep into games before pulling away.

For next year, I think the biggest question is will we portal for QB or will next year be the year we go in house? In order to do that, I’m thinking we will need to be aggressive in running up leads this year, and then have Nickel/Dereon or Judd come in not to just hand off, but go through a full blown audition with the rest of the starters (save some people like Mali and Fletcher, who can take the rest of the afternoon off when we get big leads).

So my question, is do you see that type of mentality from the outset? The only thing that tricks this up is that we are onboarding 4 new OL with likely 2 true freshman on the line.
