2026 Camdin Portis, CB - Myers Park (Charlotte, NC) Son of Canes Legend Clinton Portis

***** Top247 CB Camdin Portis of Charlotte (N.C.) Myers Park has been committed to Miami since last October.

Michigan hosted him on a visit on Saturday. He made the Ann Arbor visit with his mom and a teammate.

No official visit scheduled to Ann Arbor yet but that could get added.

Interestingly, Florida is also factor and could host him as soon as next weekend for its spring game. A reminder that his father, Clinton Portis, went to Gainesville High School before his decorated career at Miami.

Delaware State, led by head coach DeSean Jackson, is also in contention to host him next weekend. In other words, he'll decide between Florida and Delaware State as visit destinations next weekend.

If this kid had an equivalent that was from Dade County, didn't have an alum father & had a committable offer, y'all would be in here throwing a ***** fit saying our recruiting is going down the **** drain. This kid and Zion Paret are literally the same prospect, and Zion signed with FAU. There were DBs better than this kid that signed with Eastern Michigan, Temple and ECU last class. My brother in Christ we took Marcelin and Daylan fckn Russell in back to back cycles and have taken PLENTY of other Dade kids that have zero business playing at the University of Miami. You and Dade County will be okay.


I think we can do better than Portis Jr too if I’m being honest. But at least that kid has other good p4 opportunities. You just named kids that signed with Temple and Eastern Michigan when you have schools like Louisville and Syracuse selling their soul to sign Dade kids every cycle. Just woosah and relax.
