Cam Ward was a stud, through 2 games

i'm speaking to the idea that being efficient is defamatory ... this thread was never meant to be-little, but due to wording, it went left
It wasn't due to wording.

You said, "it's obvious how many yards he left on the field via the easy dump off ..."

The whole point of making this thread & writing that statement was to give a backhanded "compliment".

After the first 2 games, Cam had 689yds. So what exactly do you mean its obvious many yards he left on the field via easy dump off???

The thread went left, because it was another failed attempt at trying to take a shot at Cam because people programmed themselves into thinking that checking the ball down is somehow some kinda great QB trait.

Don't agree with the backhanded compliment take ... but get your point on the rest of your argument

you killin the context ... but i see where this thread is headed, **** its probably already arrived
Sorry Big Boi GIF by Outkast

If our offense is in some statistics less impressive this year, it will mostly be because of a much better defense. These coaches never wanted games to be races to 50 points to keep up with Cal, Louisville, VT, Syracuse, etc. They'd like to establish some early dominance > comfortable leads > then close out games minimizing risk of turnovers, comebacks and injuries.
So play not to lose lacking killer instinct... Let the backups run the offense and cut the soft ****. The team needs the experience.

Oh I'm not advocating the stuff they pulled against ND that almost cost us the win. I just think, knowing these coaches, they're likely to play a more cautious style of offense when they know they have good defense. I'd personally prefer just the opposite: a great defense gives you a cushion and a better opportunity to go for their throat on offense.

I've said it once and I'll say it again: Some of you need to touch grass. Cam Ward and Carson Beck are both outstanding quarterbacks that we are lucky to have(or in the case of Cam, had). Carson's game is about getting the ball out quickly, Cam is more about the big play, but he isn't above taking what is there. That said, Cam spent most of his collegiate career tasked with elevating inferior talent(UIW and Wazzu). Carson spent most of his career playing with talent that was at least equal to, or greater than his own, so he never felt the need to force things. Either way, Miami hasn't had successive QBs be this talented since Reagan was POTUS. Enjoy the **** ride.

The narratives people make in their head are ******* insane. They make it seem like dude avoided the check down every play hunting for big play. Or they HAVE TO knock the prior guy to compliment the new guy who has a different type of game.

Cam was 26 of 35 for 385 yards 74% with 3 TDs and 1 pick in the swamp. 20 for 26 for 304 yards 77% with 3 tds no picks against Famu in first two games.

WTF are we even talking about here.
Checkdown Boyz can't stop won't stop.

Finish the season with the #1 offense then maybe we can talk.

Until then compare to Klubnick, Allar and Mateer, that is the relevant peer group.

They need Emory the Gawd so he can start these Checkdowns that they get hard ons for. Carson Beck is not Alex Smith their king, Beck will sling it just watch cause he did a at UGA once awhile. He just needs to pull a Cam and change the play more often

It's not an either or, we've been blessed with both. One got us to ten wins another got us a dub against a top ten foe. They are both Canes. Are y'all fans of the player or the team? The little bit of success we've found is making people forget the Jarren Williams, Robert Marve, and TVD days

cam currently getting exposed, that holding ball too long and scrambling not working in the league
He will learn from this. The speed of the league is completely different and he is going to have to learn and adapt to it.

he has literally a split second. That OL just can't hold off Denver any more..
you can tell this dudes just had a pre conceived thought when he posted that. None of his sacks have been from holding the ball to long, Denver is getting instant sheds into the back field. Now what he can't do is make it worse by doing the spin backwards stuff.
