The 6-foot-2, 223-pound quarterback guided Miami to four straight touchdown drives over the final 18 minutes, capped off by a 5-yard pass to tight end Elijah Arroyowith 26 seconds left to complete the comeback.

Ward threw for a season-best 437 yards and two touchdowns, while also running for a 24-yard score in the fourth quarter.

For the West Columbia Texas, native, he was previously named ACC Quarterback of the Week on Sept. 3, Sept. 23 and Sept. 30.

Following an open week, Ward and the Hurricanes return to action at Louisville on Oct. 19. Kickoff is slated for noon from L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium on ABC.

Dude was getting so bashed for most of the game in the game day thread 👀

I mean Miami was down 35-10 in the 3rd quarter and Cam Ward threw the ugliest pick 6 you'll ever see. The team woke up right after Cal made it 35-10. I get the bashing at that exact time. lol My cousin wanted Emory to go into the game. I still laugh thinking about that

How many is that so far?

I was livid after that pick. Like everyone with the BS "you got to live with the bad plays to get the good plays". No, we shouldnt have to . That was beyond bad play. It was the dumbest thing I have ever seen a QB do. He could have easily just thrown it away.

I hope he learned from it but I doubt it. He is a great player but his carelessness in the turnover deparment is frustrating

At the end of the day he is getting all the credit for the come back, but it was the defense that held up in the end and didnt let them score again.

The worst INT I've ever seen at Miami lol. The one thing we couldn't afford at that exact moment just happened right in front of our eyes. That game had so many crazy twists

If that's the dumbest thing you've ever seen a QB do you must have just watched your 1st football game.

Throw across your body, high into the air, 20 yards from your nearest receiver, directly at a defender, while at that time our defense couldn’t stop their offense. Sure bro, you see worse decisions all the time

I see you’ve never heard of Jacory Harris.
