I’ve been a huge Warren Moon fan for years. After Marino, he is the best pure passer that I ever witnessed on the gridiron. He had a natural feel that cannot be taught, great pocket awareness and a great arm. He was also extremely intelligent, and a **** of a leader. It’s mind blowing to think that he had to play a few years in the CFL before the NFL came calling.

If he hadn’t spent those years in Canada, he would’ve been right behind Dan the Man in yards and TD’s…and he did all this playing in an era where DB’s could mug WR’s and DL could literally kill the QB.

He is one of the G.O.A.T.’s, in my humble opinion.

Brother, Warren Moon was a 1st Ballot HOFer; but, if u stopped following the NFL in the early 2000’s, that makes sense, as Warren retired early 2000’s. He was a no doubter, 1st ballot guy.

Such a prolific passer; he would be around Top 5-6ish all time in passing yrds had he got a fair shot to begin his career where he belong, the NFL. Different times back then, compared to now, though.

I met my wife on Grassy in 2003. Between 2003-2009, we moved about 7 times. I stayed connected to the Canes through the Canes sites, Grassy, Adrian’s site, COH, Canesmutiny but I lost interest in the Dolphins and NFL after Marino retired, JJ flamed out and the Dolphins became a revolving door at HC and QB. That coupled with free agency making teams you know change every year turned me off.
I never really gave a **** about HOF selections unless they were Dolphins or former Canes, anyways.
When you follow the NFL from 1972 to let’s say 2004, MLB from 1974 thru 2008ish and The Canes from 1981 thru present, and you’re approaching 60, you forget ****, because you’ve got decades of football and baseball knowledge crammed in your head and trust me, you start to forget **** as you age.if the dude just pointed out my error like the other dude, I would have just owned it.
If we played “gotcha” with every poster that makes a mistake, the whole board would be a shytshow.

You literally just said you STOPPED following the Dolphins and the NFL in general in the early 2000s which was my original question lol. You can't make this stuff up. Maybe use Google before making an asinine statement that you clearly didn't know anything about. GFY

I missed a HOF induction 19 years ago and you couldn’t just say, “hey, dude he did get inducted”, you had to be an internet prick about it.

You talk that way with people face to face? Or just hide behind your phone imitating a giant ***ina?

Didn't take me over the weekend to become a Warren Moon fan - been one for years - but it showed how great his character was to welcome Cam and allow him to wear that #1. I'm a Phins fan for life, and have never really cheered for other AFC teams. That may change going forward.

Loved him as a player. Threw the prettiest ball that I could remember. Loved those Oilers teams.

Brother, go back & slowly re-read my reply to u; I actually gave u grace by saying it makes sense u wouldn’t know that Warren made the HOF based upon u’re timeline of being out of touch w the NFL.

My reply was predicated on u saying “U’re glad he ‘finally made it’”…so it was correcting the ‘finally made it’ as if he took several nominations to get in.

It was meant to be an informative w/ dialogue vs. criticizing ur mistake.
