Vibes are good in general and it seems like the transfers had a lot to do with it.
I would just say neither Arrojo or Skinner is Cam. Game experience matters.Agreed, it’s been invaluable having Cam in playing on offense. His blocking prowess alone is helping us with some big runs against Miami of Ohio. Then the catch Saturday versus A&M. I know he’s no Arroyo but if we can continue to keep him in games along with Arroyo, this passing attack could become even more deadly.
TBH he played but he didn't make the most of those opportunities. And this is more of a wide open wide receiver offense as opposed to the run oriented stuff Gattis did. Neither actually suited Skinner. You got to block as a tight end in both offenses.Weird cause he played a ton as true freshman last year, did he regress or something
How many games has he played? He missed his senior year in high school, redshirted like 4 times in college.. Genuine question, he has a bizarre backstory.. He is resilient if nothing else.. basically 5 years not playing..I would just say neither Arrojo or Skinner is Cam. Game experience matters.
Ehhhh not really buying that. The staff knows what type of player Skinner is and what his strengths and weaknesses are. He played in the spring and he was getting a good amount of reps in fall camp. Something happened during fall camp to get him in the doghouse. He had that scrimmage where he couldn't hang on to the ball and I'm guessing he didn't take kindly to the tough love shown by the staff. He probably needs to mature and to realize that he isn't going to win the Mackey award as a freshman. He certainly has skills and he is a nightmare mismatch as a receiving TE but before he can do that he has to prove to the coaches that he can and will do the detailed fundamental work that mostly goes unnoticed.TBH he played but he didn't make the most of those opportunities. And this is more of a wide open wide receiver offense as opposed to the run oriented stuff Gattis did. Neither actually suited Skinner. You got to block as a tight end in both offenses.
Zo too.Gotta admit that I was not excited about the Cam transfer. Thankfully, I was absolutely wrong.
Mario’s eye for talent is elite. He knows exactly what this team needs to look like and the type of player(s) we need. If he continues to get “A-quality” performance from his coordinators, the sky is the limit.
Idk what a goober is but I hope Crib isn’t too offended.you are a real goober
I’ve called him worseIdk what a goober is but I hope Crib isn’t too offended.
You’re a monster!I’ve called him worse
Can't believe no one has mentioned anything else about Debra McCormick....

yup... if you go back and watch the game look at the first series that screen pass to Restrepo where he got chopped down at the LOS, Cam leaked out and was up the sideline, if that was Arroyo it might be a house call.and
His catch was big because he was open a few more times but TVD is just starting to build up trust that Can will make the catch. If he can catch 2-3 passes a game we are in great shape.
I noticed when Dawson said something along the lines of “I don’t want to be conservative. Mario definitely doesn’t want that”Ok can we also give a little love to Mario whose plan was to have a power running game, for which you really need at least 6 good blockers (or 7 like Univ of Michigan) combined with a vertical passing game. Lots of people on CIS argued that an offense can’t be both.
