Calvin Ridley on why he didn’t commit to the U and mentions Mario

Sean Burgess Becker. Calvin was a diehard Canes fan and wanted to be here. Sean convinced him to open his eyes to other opportunities. Sean was the little ****. 🤡
Wasn’t there a handler thst pushed them away too. Whatever happened to sbb

Thought he commited on April 19, 2014.

I guess LSU and Bama played a private game for recruits.

He was going to commit to Miami in early 2014 around February along with Burgess-Becker and they called the media to a 7 on 7 practice and then changed their mind and visited Bama and committed.

His story is wrong.
Yeah, weren't Ridley and SBB or maybe just Ridley supposed to have some announcement/ Miami commitment planned one afternoon and right before it was supposed to happen it got cancelled and i think we know the rest of the story.

He left the part out bout the free Camaro. 🤣🤣

Our recruiting "misses" can obviously be infuriating when you look back at them over that 15 year span but I really wonder if any of them individually (sans maybe the QBs) would've really made any difference in the overall big picture trajectory of the program during that run.
It would have been great to have had this guy and some of the other stars we missed on, but it wouldn't have mattered if we'd gotten 1-2 more per year. We've always had some great players, and the teams have still sucked. People who want to feel bad about missing on this guy should spend their time feeling bad for Duke and Chick. ****, Kaaya could have been really good with a real staff and some defense.

Don’t Think I’d blame Ridley either in this case. The past regimes would have failed his talents

Thank u;

I suggest anyone who has the stomach to go back & look at all the blue chip recruits we’ve had come here since 2004, & see the shear amount of wasted talent that’s come through

Can’t bet on them in Georgia either technically…

There's no need for all the theatrics and storytelling: he waited for the Bama offer, they put one on the table, and he took it. Given that they were the strongest program in the country at the time, they would be tough to beat in recruiting.
