For the record I didn't.

So Butch was identified as the shooter?
What a dumbas thing to say.
No, no. No.
Yes, Richt was not the ideal choice - a fair choice - a place-holder maybe -
Butch Davis was available - and would have jumped at it.
Some would suggest Butch is too old - yet he's the same, exact age as Saban - and I don't hear anyone talking about Saban's age. And if one cares to even LOOK at Butch - he's got a whole lot of years in him.
And we'd know we were getting a coach who knows how to build up a program.
That's what I'm trying to say homie. Florida is part of Georgia's "recruiting base". They get kids from Florida all the time aka Richts recruiting base is the same. He recruits kids from Florida and Georgia.he stole florida kids from golden too
people were calling richt the bagman when we got sony lolThat's what I'm trying to say homie. Florida is part of Georgia's "recruiting base". They get kids from Florida all the time aka Richts recruiting base is the same. He recruits kids from Florida and Georgia.
This f'jng nonsense. While other coaches get 4 years to turn a program around, (usually have losing records in doing so) you ungratefuls are some how dissatisfied with the progress.I’m in the middle , I don’t want Richt fired, (shouldn’t even be a discussion) but I question his decisions and rightfully so. If you don’t you’re a blind homer that will accept mediocrity, or pretty much anything.
Hiring his son is , was and always has been a bs move, kid has no resume. Purely nepotism, nothing more.
Then mix in the green offensive staff and a coach who hasn’t called plays in awhile. Hence the offense has been a mess. He continues to roll out a terrible qb , even though it’s year three. No grad transfers, transfers or jucos.
There’s other questionable roster management issues , rolling with a punter with the yips, a true Fr kicker and no te depth. I *****ed about all these things in the off season.
We overachieved last year , pretty much got lucky a few games which covered up some roster flaws. Mark didn’t inherit a great roster, so it’s going to take one , maybe two more classes to get the depth to Miami caliber.
Basically if you’re ok with a bunch of 9-11 win years , with the occasionally 12 wins then Richt is your guy. If not, then he’s not, dude has been coaching almost 20 years , this is who he his.
After Al, Randy , Coker I’m ok with that.
For now.
Didn't Urb take over at OSU while they were on probation and go undefeated even though they were ineligible for a bowl game? If Urb or Saban took this job 3 years ago when we were on pseudo probation, we would have 5*s starting all over the place by now. There would be a 0% chance a scrub like Rosier would be the QB. Dabo would be shaking in his boots about the upcoming ACCCG. So don't say nobody could have done it just because a second tier coach like Richt hasn't.

Richt has restocked the depth that was seriously missing after the NOT so Golden era.
If we had won the LSU game, no one of you would be saying this BS. BE A REAL CANES FAN NOW, NOT LATER!!!!
Let's wait until the season's over before we start passing judgment
So, you've taken my comments and turned them into a **** measuring contest. Your insecurities force you to be intimidated simply because I was making an analogy that I believe fit the occasion. There wasn't an ounce of self-adulation. Nowhere did I reference my net worth, roster of influential associates/friends or that at one point I was the holder of 18 season tickets. Yet, it was you that
I am impressed! Rarely do you find someone who can string together countless sentences without even coming close to making one salient point. Your effort to impersonate a sub-moron is spot on....truly the work of an all-pro moron. I would be remiss if I didn't point out that you have absolutely not one clue about the inner workings of college football, which I have very confidence is a common refrain in every aspect of your worthless life.
1. How long does it take to make obvious coaching changes?
2. How long does it take until we routinely beat inferior teams?
3. Aren't there obvious issues that you're concerned with?
Seriously? OSU got a slap on the wrist - had a team in place that the previous coach who won a National Title put together and you;re going to compare the talent that Urb took over with Miami when Richt took over after the **** show? Big reach there

WE got a slap on the wrist. 9 scholly losses over 3 years is nothing. You take care of that through natural attrition.
Richt walked into a nice roster actually. We had depth issues, but it was not a rebuild.
OSU was 10 years away from it's last national title when Urb took over. In 2011 OSU went 6-7. In 2012, in Urb's first year, they went 12-0. If you are what your record says you are, OSU went from mediocre to dominant immediately.
We already are doing it that way with Dugans as the Co-OC.

The Canes just beat a team 77 to 0 and you are ripping the Coach Richt/program. Even one of the ESPN talking heads said... "Beat a team 77 to 0 and I don't care who you are playing you are doing a lot of things right." You can't take even a few days off spewing hate to just enjoy the moment. It is my view that people like you don't really love the program, but have found a vehicle that allows you to complain and *****, which makes you feel better about your life. Again, 77 to 0 and your response is the shred Coach Richt. Partner, Richt is not the loser in this scenario...YOU ARE!!
That makes it even harder.
The truth is Rick has boxed himself into a corner with all these “OC” positions.
There is no way that Brown sits still while we bring in a full title OC. No way. If we do it right, he’s going to have to go, or accept RB coach only, or be demoted to co-OC in title only.
If you want to hire some stud OC, I agree, but actions have consequences. That guy is going to want to do it his way. As it should be. It could easily mean a staff shake up, including probably Brown. Just no way around it.
I completely agree. I don't see Brown accepting a pay cut to being just the RB coach. I honestly am not to concerned with the play calling. We had a lot of guys open against LSU we just didn't have a QB that could actually hit them. I was just pointing out how Richt could do it if he really wanted to. I know he does not want to and loves being in control of the offense. I think the real error he made was bringing Jon Richt onto the staff. He cannot possibly fire him because he would not be able to get another D1 QB coaching job(maybe FCS) and he isn't doing anything impressive enough for him to get picked up by another school. We are going to be stuck with him because Richt is not going to hurt his sons future career by firing him unless Blake steps in.
Thank you for making my point...you "football experts" wanted to fire a UM coach in the midst of building the greatest college football team ever! Yet, you are now trying to fire a coach who won 10 games last season and made the Canes brand relevant for the first time in 14 years, won the ACC Coastal division for the first time ever, and took the Canes to a major bowl, the Orange Bowl, for the first time since 2004. Yeah, let's fire him-a stellar idea!
Thank you for your testimony...your honor, I'm done with this guy!
How is FIU doing?
Felt sorry for you since your examples were so stupid, so I gave your the one possible example you could use. It is worth it to quiet you.
You put Mario Andretti in a Pinto - there's only so much he can do.
You give Zorro a toothpick - there's only so much he can do.
It's kinda like you - you were provided a brain - and based on your question - and what you have to work with - there's only so much you can do.
