Calling For Coach Richt To Be Fired

So Butch was identified as the shooter?

What a dumbas thing to say.
No, no. No.

Yes, Richt was not the ideal choice - a fair choice - a place-holder maybe -

Butch Davis was available - and would have jumped at it.

Some would suggest Butch is too old - yet he's the same, exact age as Saban - and I don't hear anyone talking about Saban's age. And if one cares to even LOOK at Butch - he's got a whole lot of years in him.

And we'd know we were getting a coach who knows how to build up a program.

How is FIU doing?

he stole florida kids from golden too
That's what I'm trying to say homie. Florida is part of Georgia's "recruiting base". They get kids from Florida all the time aka Richts recruiting base is the same. He recruits kids from Florida and Georgia.

people were calling richt the bagman when we got sony lol

I’m in the middle , I don’t want Richt fired, (shouldn’t even be a discussion) but I question his decisions and rightfully so. If you don’t you’re a blind homer that will accept mediocrity, or pretty much anything.

Hiring his son is , was and always has been a bs move, kid has no resume. Purely nepotism, nothing more.

Then mix in the green offensive staff and a coach who hasn’t called plays in awhile. Hence the offense has been a mess. He continues to roll out a terrible qb , even though it’s year three. No grad transfers, transfers or jucos.

There’s other questionable roster management issues , rolling with a punter with the yips, a true Fr kicker and no te depth. I *****ed about all these things in the off season.

We overachieved last year , pretty much got lucky a few games which covered up some roster flaws. Mark didn’t inherit a great roster, so it’s going to take one , maybe two more classes to get the depth to Miami caliber.

Basically if you’re ok with a bunch of 9-11 win years , with the occasionally 12 wins then Richt is your guy. If not, then he’s not, dude has been coaching almost 20 years , this is who he his.

After Al, Randy , Coker I’m ok with that.

For now.
This f'jng nonsense. While other coaches get 4 years to turn a program around, (usually have losing records in doing so) you ungratefuls are some how dissatisfied with the progress.

Richt has restocked the depth that was seriously missing after the NOT so Golden era.

If we had won the LSU game, not one of you would be saying this BS. BE A REAL CANES FAN NOW, NOT LATER!!!!

Let's wait until the season's over before we start passing judgment

Didn't Urb take over at OSU while they were on probation and go undefeated even though they were ineligible for a bowl game? If Urb or Saban took this job 3 years ago when we were on pseudo probation, we would have 5*s starting all over the place by now. There would be a 0% chance a scrub like Rosier would be the QB. Dabo would be shaking in his boots about the upcoming ACCCG. So don't say nobody could have done it just because a second tier coach like Richt hasn't.

Seriously? OSU got a slap on the wrist - had a team in place that the previous coach who won a National Title put together and you;re going to compare the talent that Urb took over with Miami when Richt took over after the **** show? Big reach there

I was actually saying this in the off season captain save a hoe. Roster management has been questionable at best. Now we’re stuck with a punter with the yips, only three te on the roster ( two true Fr) and a qb who’s still an absolute mess. Yet we didn’t bring any upperclassmen transfers or jucos to protect us fro this situation. Same with all the DL misses in recruiting. Now we’re down to six scholarship de.

But you blind slurpers didn’t want to hear it.

Guys like you are just as aggravating as the negative “ fire everyone “ folks. Blindly following , while not questioning anything.

That doesn’t make you a good fan , or any better.

You were probably one of the blind dummies saying we’d kill LSU , now come back with the “ its only year three “ excuse. “He needs time”. Sound familiar?

Btw, I’ve been a cane fan for over 30 years, and been through a bunch of bad times. So F you and your cheesy “be a fan now, not later” bs. I’m obviously not a bed wagon rider to stay on this ****** wagon the last fifteen years.

I just don’t sit back and agree with everything , and slurp the staff when I see a bunch of questionable things going on. Like a coach hiring his freaking son to an important position , with absolutely no resume.

You were probably the same “ Mr super fan “ during the Al , Shannon and Coker years too. If it was left up to you we’d still have those guys.

I never said fire the man , but he’s doing a lot of the things he did at Uga that lead to getting his *** canned.

So, you've taken my comments and turned them into a **** measuring contest. Your insecurities force you to be intimidated simply because I was making an analogy that I believe fit the occasion. There wasn't an ounce of self-adulation. Nowhere did I reference my net worth, roster of influential associates/friends or that at one point I was the holder of 18 season tickets. Yet, it was you that

I am impressed! Rarely do you find someone who can string together countless sentences without even coming close to making one salient point. Your effort to impersonate a sub-moron is spot on....truly the work of an all-pro moron. I would be remiss if I didn't point out that you have absolutely not one clue about the inner workings of college football, which I have very confidence is a common refrain in every aspect of your worthless life.

1. How long does it take to make obvious coaching changes?
2. How long does it take until we routinely beat inferior teams?
3. Aren't there obvious issues that you're concerned with?

The Canes just beat a team 77 to 0 and you are ripping the Coach Richt/program. Even one of the ESPN talking heads said... "Beat a team 77 to 0 and I don't care who you are playing you are doing a lot of things right." You can't take even a few days off spewing hate to just enjoy the moment. It is my view that people like you don't really love the program, but have found a vehicle that allows you to complain and *****, which makes you feel better about your life. Again, 77 to 0 and your response is the shred Coach Richt. Partner, Richt is not the loser in this scenario...YOU ARE!![/QUOTE]

Oh, good, I'm under your skin.

I am under your skin because I support this University, its students and athletes at a level you never could.

That's not a financial comment, that's a life comment. It's about priorities and respect for the University. All you do is come on here to pound your own chest. I guarantee you contribute absolutely nothing to the University because you contribute absolutely nothing to this board.

And I turn nothing into a **** measuring contest. That is repeatedly been your tactic whenever anybody challenges any of your assertions. You immediately launch into a personal attack, by which you shell out endless implications of your own supposed success in life and how we should all be clamoring for more of your daily aphorisms and knowledge.

News flash buddy. Nobody on this board cares about anything you have to say regarding the program because you refuse to actually discuss it. All you want to do is attack and belittle the fans who support this program in whatever means they can because you simply disagree with them.

Meanwhile, I have yet to see you address anything that I said about our performance against LSU. If you're counterpoint is that we scored 77 points on Savannah State, I think it's best if you concede the round. Which team do you want to see on the field, the one that can beat LSU or the one that can mop up a team moving to division 2 next year?

And, when it comes to your life advice, you can shove that too. Do you know who I know you have nothing relevant to contribute? Do you know how I know for all your supposed and reported success you've actually accomplished nothing with your life? Because you're doing it on a college football message board! If the world care but anything you had to say, you wouldn't need to do that.

In the end, my offer still stands to you. Because, at the end of the day I don't take was posted on the internet to be too serious. I won't pay for your plane ticket, your senior bus pass, or your Uber ride, but any game besides Florida State, we can discuss what we're seeing on the field. You tell me why things were doing wrong are okay and I'm simply being a "coach ripper" by pointing them out, and I'll tell you a football reason while your opinion sucks.

So now the roster was awful ? This sounds familiar.

When Richt came in everybody here said he’s walking into a nice roster , with a qb.

Now we’re in year three, depending on Al’s backup qb , still.

Richt tells the story about telling Malik he’d never play for him, but he never grabs a juco or grad transfer qb. I guess that’s Al’s fault.

Just like we still haven’t replenished Al’s DL he left behind , say what you want but Golden left a legit DL behind. But they all graduated or left early and now the depth is f’d. Golden’s fault too? Same with punter and kicker , he came into a good st’s situation.

Like I said” I don’t want the guy fired” , but you slurpers acting like he hasn’t caused some of these issues is beyond crazy to me.

Let’s quit acting like he walked into probation, without thirty scholarships.

We still had more talent than majority of the teams on our schedule.

WE got a slap on the wrist. 9 scholly losses over 3 years is nothing. You take care of that through natural attrition.

Richt walked into a nice roster actually. We had depth issues, but it was not a rebuild.

OSU was 10 years away from it's last national title when Urb took over. In 2011 OSU went 6-7. In 2012, in Urb's first year, they went 12-0. If you are what your record says you are, OSU went from mediocre to dominant immediately.

Do not believe we can pay kind if money Urb would demand even if OSU cans his butt eventually.

We already are doing it that way with Dugans as the Co-OC.

That makes it even harder.

The truth is Rick has boxed himself into a corner with all these “OC” positions.

There is no way that Brown sits still while we bring in a full title OC. No way. If we do it right, he’s going to have to go, or accept RB coach only, or be demoted to co-OC in title only.

If you want to hire some stud OC, I agree, but actions have consequences. That guy is going to want to do it his way. As it should be. It could easily mean a staff shake up, including probably Brown. Just no way around it.

That kind of ignores that they were 12-1 the year before Urb's first year. That wasn't a rebuild, it was just straightening out the chaos of a surprise coaching change. No doubt Urb's the goods, but he had a ton more to work with than Richt did.

Back to the earlier point, saban or Urb would never come here. One meeting with the BOT/boosters would tell them they weren't getting the kind of behind the scenes financial support they were used to. What do you think Kirby said when he went to interview at Georgia? He told them how much they were going to have to spend and that there was no way around it if they wanted to be better than bama.

Dawg it's Savannah State, come on now. Even Golden beat them 77-7, does that mean Richt and Golden are on the same level coaching wise? While Richt is a definite step up, let's not act as if he is some world beater.

I completely agree. I don't see Brown accepting a pay cut to being just the RB coach. I honestly am not to concerned with the play calling. We had a lot of guys open against LSU we just didn't have a QB that could actually hit them. I was just pointing out how Richt could do it if he really wanted to. I know he does not want to and loves being in control of the offense. I think the real error he made was bringing Jon Richt onto the staff. He cannot possibly fire him because he would not be able to get another D1 QB coaching job(maybe FCS) and he isn't doing anything impressive enough for him to get picked up by another school. We are going to be stuck with him because Richt is not going to hurt his sons future career by firing him unless Blake steps in.

The only way he leaves is if he steps away. No way Blake can step in and tell him to fire his son. Richt will tell him to go fūck himself. That’s why I don’t even worry about it, because it ain’t going to change. No sense getting worked up about it.

Thank you for making my point...you "football experts" wanted to fire a UM coach in the midst of building the greatest college football team ever! Yet, you are now trying to fire a coach who won 10 games last season and made the Canes brand relevant for the first time in 14 years, won the ACC Coastal division for the first time ever, and took the Canes to a major bowl, the Orange Bowl, for the first time since 2004. Yeah, let's fire him-a stellar idea!

Thank you for your testimony...your honor, I'm done with this guy!

Felt sorry for you since your examples were so stupid, so I gave your the one possible example you could use. It is worth it to quiet you.

How is FIU doing?

You put Mario Andretti in a Pinto - there's only so much he can do.

You give Zorro a toothpick - there's only so much he can do.

It's kinda like you - you were provided a brain - and based on your question - and what you have to work with - there's only so much you can do.

Laughing...you dummy...in my original post I pointed out the lunacy of you Cats pertaining to Butch Butch, amongst other foolishness. Try to keep up here, amigo!

It’s amazing how nobody wants to let “Mario Andretti” drive.
