The smartest OC available. He started his coaching career at Miami and has a pedigree unmatched by any other available coach. He was volunteer assistant when Richtwas here.

Not a bad idea. He's creepy af, but he knows Offense.

The thing is, Richt doesn't necessarily need to give up play calling, but he needs someone dedicated to extensively breaking down film and coming up with a game plan/plays (like Jumbo has). Thomas Brown ain't that guy (and if we don't land McFarland, he should be fired or have his salary cut. He was basically brought in to recruit).

How do ya'll complain about short dink and dunk passes then ask for Trestmen? Sometimes I swear people don't even watch games.

The Gnat attack would suit Kaaya or a Dual Threat QB just fine. I think if anything we've been complaining more about the endless verticals Richt's been dialing up.

Any intelligent fan knows a Trestman is one of best QB Coaches ever. He was QB Coach foe Steve Young and Rich Gannon when they were NFL MVP, was OC with Oakland Raiders last time they went to Super Bowl, learned his craft from Howard, Earl Morrall, Gary Stephens and Bill Walsh. Whatever happened in Baltimore doesn't detract from his resume. Say he sucks and is a bum and I say you are fools.

I don't really buy the coach of X player so he's awesome idea. You named 2 and he's coached how many? He sucked his last 2 stops hasn't he?

Yeah, remember when Jethro coached all those NFL linemen.

He coached Jake Plummer and Scott Mitchell in each of their best years. Was Bernie Kosar QB coach in both Miami and Cleveland and was also 49ers OC in 95-96 when they went 23-9.

He did awesome in Chicago too ... I'll bet that he will have just about as many job offers as the legendary Butch Davis does this year.

Chicago Bears fire Phil Emery, Marc Trestman

Not advocating for Trestman, but we have a struggling OL, RBs that aren't great runners but really good pass catchers, and 2 really good TEs. Wouldn't utilizing short, quick passes work better for our current personnel?

If you watched the Eagles disaster against the Cowgirls, last night, you would have seen why exclusive use of the dink & dunk game doesn't work. That's because the opposition knows what you're going to do, and defends against it. The Eagles have no deep threat (left for the 'Skins) and pay for it, weekly.

We're in the same shape, but with lesser talent. A good team continuously varies it's attack to keep the D on its heels. We telegraph ours.
