Miami Hurricanes incoming freshman Caleb Gaskins has been selected to play for the USA Basketball U18 National Team. Gaskins will be one out of 12 players representing Team USA in the AmeriCup from the dates of June 1-7 in Mexico.
Including Gaskins, prospects such as Bruce Branch III, Quentin Coleman, Adan Diggs, Jasiah Jervis, Taylen Kinney Davion Thompson, Ethan Taylor, Darius Wabbington, Demarcus Henry, Malachi Jordan and Colben Landrew are all representing Team USA.
Gaskins is ranked by the 247Sports Composite Ranking as the No. 3 power forward and No. 13 overall prospect in the 2026 class. 247Sports lists him as the No. 4 power forward and No. 20 overall prospect in the nation.
Gaskins is one of the highest rated recruits to commit and sign with the Miami Hurricanes. This past season with Christopher Columbus High School, he accomplished two national titles with the Explorers, while averaging a total of 22.5 points per game and 9.1 rebounds.
