Unfortunately he now has over 30 offers from Div 1 colleges..Going to be a battle if the Canes come out on top....
I understand that. I'm just saying as of right now the only thing that is clear is the need for an OT. We don't know for sure, yet, what we need at guard.CAfter last nights Miami vs FAU game I am thinking Evan Sheriff is going to be in Chandler's ear even more about how Miami should be his choice, because he will see the field early.

This is such a narrow minded comment. We're leading the nation in rushing behind our offensive line. That's not our issue. Our issue is pass blocking because we have a roster full of guards.
What is this kid? A road grading guard.
Actually, narrow minded may be believing that a top rushing stat from a sample of 2 games, one of which was a 70-3 thrashing of an inferior and worn out defense, somehow indicates we are all good in the running game.
Trust me, I hope the 2nd half of FAU is more representative of what we will see going forward, but many defenses we will play will not have as many injuries and wear down so easily.
Clearly the passing game needs help, but when you can't run in the first half very well, pretty hard to PA off of that..
4-STAR OL CALEB CHANDLER HAS LOUISVILLE AS A ‘TOP’ SCHOOL
With 4 offensive lineman committed in the 2017 Louisville football recruiting class, it would take the right player to add yet another. One such player would be Georgia offensive lineman Caleb Chandler. The 6’5″ 302lbs prospect from Jefferson High School was originally slated to visit campus this past Saturday for the Louisville/Florida St. game but was unable to make it.
Still, Louisville remains a legitimate contender for the athletic lineman. “They have recruited me hard” Chandler said as he has been talking to Coach Grantham and Coach Nochta often during the week.
What interests Chandler about Louisville? “It’s a great school to get a good education, the coaches and the players, but I’m just ready to get down there to check it out” Chandler said, with a visit expected sometime during December or January.
Louisville’s recent success has turned eyes around the country, including Chandler’s “They’really catching everyone’s eyes and I knew this offense could score.”
Does their success make it enticing to play for the Cardinals? “Ohh yea, of course.”
Besides Louisville, Chandler, rated the #239 overall player in the class of 2017 by 247Sports, mentioned Florida and Miami as schools coming at him the hardest and indicated that there were some others pursuing him hard as well.
With only a few select spots left in the 2017 class, room is very limited but Chandler set on taking his time and not making a decision too quickly “I gotta be patient and take my visits and make sure I’m making the best decision.”
Can he see himself ending up at Louisville, though?
“I honestly could” Chandler said.
Hopefully Miami starts pressing harder for Chandler

I have a hard time believing he will keep every olineman currently on the roster. There has to be some attrition.252cane I don't Miami's offer is commutable at this point and in my opinion it should be. Miami offers the best education of any school he is looking at and also the most favorable depth chart.
Mark Richt will have to do some serious roster management next summer in terms of making room for quality olinemen to be added via the 2017 class.

He kept guys go at UGA who be brought in so he'll let guys go here
I highly doubt we push people out this year, unless we get a bunch of EEs(not sure how many we can). We're so far below normal numbers right now it might be better to have ****ty end of depth chart players for early season blowouts to prevent injuries.
Coaches oversign every year. I think you brought up EEs because they count against the prior years class. I think it's absolutely possible for us to oversign and get everyone in. I could at least see Loftus and Mahoney/Gauthier on the chopping block. Not even mentioning whether Sunny will be able to play again in the future. That could be 4 player attrition spots opened up on the line. Again going back to my prior statement. If richt can get them, he will find a wayOh, we do need it. The reason I mentioned that it might not need to be done this year is because 25+EE is the hard cap, iirc. If we get a bunch of OL, I'm all for pushing people out. I just don't think we do it this year. I think next year is a big push-out year.

I don't like to play the "guess the attrition game", but what the **** lol...I wouldn't be surprised if 1-3 of Knighton (It's his 4th year this year anyway) J.Jones, Loftus, Mahoney aren't on this team next year.

They are all gone by next Summer, I was on the fence about Mahoney since he paid for Barr Milo to fly out from Cali to Miami for an unofficial visit. But at this point both Mahoney and Staff have to realize he is out of his depth at Miami, Mahoney would be better off at a MAC school were he could start. Hey maybe let's say a Miami(OH).
As for the others: J.Jones is a JUCO transfer that redshirted and should graduate by May or August 2017 so he most likely scholarshipnewed and would also be better off at a group of 5 school like UCONN for his last 2 years.
Mahoney should graduate this spring if not be moved to a medical hardship scholarship at this point.
An Loftus, he will be better served transferring to a USF , UCF or Marshall.
Again this is just my opinion.
