Calais Campbell [The U is back]

In the pros? He may have turned out to have been the best one sans Sapp. He has had an unreal career.
Yeah pros. His duration probably puts him in over JB. Kennedy, Ted Hendricks and Sapp are already in the HOF. Maryland probably gets in eventually. Does Calais get in? Probably so IMO.

Yep. 2017 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year. 2024 NFLPA Alan Paige Community Award. 2019 Bart Starr Award. 2022 Art Rooney Award. 2017 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. 6 time pro bowl. 2010's All Decade Team.
The Hall Will Call.

Is he even a top 5 DL?
Cortez Kennedy
Russel Maryland
Jerome Brown
Warren Sapp
Calais?

Not necessarily in that order but close?
I think the reason he is not thought of as highly is because he played during that 20 year decline that we talk about so much. If he played on 1 our more successful teams he would be more highly regarded. I think I remember him having the most sacks by a cane in a single season, right.

Agreed. He also played on the Cardinals for the first half of his career as well as a stint with the Jags. Had he been on New England, we aren’t having this discussion.
