Cal vs Oregon

Seriously though- how does a coach deemed an uber elite master recruiter whose prowess on the trail will supposedly overcome his gameday corching find himself in this type of QB situation this year? No joke, Luigi should've had N'Kosi transfer there if this is the best he could actually recruit.

This game right here is my fear with Mario he has like two or three of these a year where a team he should handle beats him or be barely espaces. Yeah I know QB sucks but still there is no reason cal should be in this game.

Just proves that some people were asleep during Mario's greatest hits at Oregon. Talking about hiring him and he'd run through the Coastal because it is trash. The Pac-12 north is and has been trash and these are the type of efforts his team will put out there far too often. He's far too risk adverse and a bad game day coach. Tell me the difference between this game and what we saw against Virginia or App State. The death struggles against outmatched opponents would continue here if he gets hired.

He's got a big time QB recruit as the backup and he's done very little to get him meaningful snaps this year. Now he's stuck with Anthony Brown and the low ceiling that Anthony Brown provides.

This is coming off a bye too.

Guy was straight garbage at BC. No idea why OR took him, much less decided to make him the starter.

Mario had Justin Herbert and made him look pedestrian at times. Mario's niche is strong Oline play, not dynamic offenses.

There are several teams in this country better than Cal: Columbus High, Sarasota Riverview, and maybe us. Mario is finding a way to sh*t the bed against a bottom of the Table club that would actually have trouble in the Corstal.

This game does NOT speak well to the judgment of the Mario Cristobal lobby on the BOT and in Canes Nation. Perhaps he needs to come here as a Godfather Coach to satisfy the Community while the BOT hires a Wartime Consigliere at OC and DC?

If Cal beats Oregon, the bottom may drop out of the Mario boomlet.

I don’t want to over-react but it’s hard to argue with what you’ve written. I think he’s better than Manny and would improve us but he’s not a slam dunk home run hire. For the money, or not, I’d hire Freeze and I think we’ll see better results.

Oregon will win this ugly ****show but the new narrative from the Luigi apologists will be to admit that Oregon ain't tough at all period let alone in the trenches but will say that'll obviously change when Luigi can recruit here. He's been handcuffed by Oregon being in Bumblefuk and in the Pac-12 and still has worked "miracles". That we should remember what he did at Baga.
Who doesn‘t recruit well at Bama?

I know you guys say Mario will bring physicality to Miami but Oregon is nowhere as physical as Stoops team.
That's largely a narrative formed within our fanbase because he was an excellent lineman for us and people have created some mythology about his personality and "toughness". It's not rooted in anyone having actually watched Oregon football.
