C.J Henderson

This was expected. My question is how does this affect Trajan Bandy and Josh Jobe? Are they shaky too?

Don't know about Jobe. But Trajan the day he committed was sporting the Sean Taylor jersey he wore during the Fiesta Bowl against Ohio St. as his brother came along. I'd like to say that that's a rather solid pledge. I don't know Bandy, but I'm going to assume he's not the type that would play games like that.

I remember reading that Hendersen said at one point that he was leaving and as soon as Jobe got a offer he was going with him. Can't remember what thread but I do remember reading that.May not be true at all for Jobe though. Can't believe we lost 3 top CB,our greatest position of need( tied with OL), to UF....***kkkk.I don't want to hear about 2018,19,or 20 either, lot's of **** can happen between now and then.If these south Florida divas stay "committed" for more than 20 minutes then that would be a record.SMH.

Losing CJ is definitely a loss... Would rather have him than not, but if he really don't wanna be here then there's nothing that can be done about it.

I'm not in panic mode at all... Pete has said we're after Brini or Collier, I'm good with that. Brini legit seems like a dumbass though, not trying to be an *******, but the kid doesn't seem to bright. Whatever, I'll still take him lol.

I've defended Rumph quite a bit, I don't necessarily place this one him, and if we can flip Collier, then I won't have much to say about him at all.

If you're going to criticize Rumph, I won't argue with you... I've said I'm going to judge him on next years class, if he doesn't hit a homerun in that one, then I'll join y'all with the pitchforks.

Overall, I'm not really trippin' off this though, I want CJ in this class but I don't think it's an insurmountable loss, especially if we replace him soon.

Come January I still think this will be a top 10 class.

Here is a thread I started about Collier.Staff wasn't very interested at that point.Hardly seems like a replacement for CJ but who knows.

No matter how you slice it, it's alarming that we went head-to-head with Florida for 3 top local CB talents (Henderson, Wilson, Davis) and they're all heading to Gainesville. 2 already committed there and Henderson is now out of our class.

Plenty of posters knocked Brini when he tossed out a verbal to UGA, calling him soft, unathletic, and overrated. That type of player doesn't vill the void left by an elite athlete with massive upside like Henderson.

Dominating the month of October on the field would open the floodgates and allow us to enter the picture for some premier corners not even being talked about right now. The results on the trail at this position have to be far better with the current product we're putting on the field and the woeful state of our CB depth chart next season.

Come on man. Please stop with all this the world is gonna end stuff! We crack on players for being too soft & doing something but listen to us as a fan base everytime something happens that we don't like. It's the epitome of a soft fan base... What pray tell makes Henderson a MASSIVE talent as you call him? Guys be real,if he wasn't fast none of us would care. You'd call him another one of also projects. He's not playing offense. All we know he has is speed & length. I'm sorry but that doesn't equate to massive upside

I definitely remember that, I was one of the two people who upvoted you in that lol..

I think the staff probably knew back in June CJ was on his way out and was going to offer Collier but decided not too.

I had read articles back when CJ was at FNL that a flip was imminent, but I didn't believe it because it was coming from Luke Stampini...
Guess he knew something everybody else didn't, lol.

Oh well, that's crootin'.

Why did this get moved from the recruiting board? I know **** well that's where I posted it lol.

We need TOUGH focused kids that want to be Canes.

No evidence to suggest Henderson fits the above criteria.

Plenty of time to find a replacement.

Mike Rumph is REAL. Not a sales guy, just a technical tough nosed coach that has our corners playing at elite levels......most HS kids want to have their assess kissed. Rumph ain't that guy.

We will be just fine at CB with Sheldrick Redwin, Malek Young, Trajan Bandy, Dee Jay Dallas and the MONSTER 2018 class (Jobe, Freierson, etc.)

Read on another website that CJ Henderson is a de-commit

The thought of Brini filling the void left by Henderson is laughable. Many on this board crapped all over this kid as a player when he chose UGA over Miami, saying he's unathletic, slow, soft, has limited upside, and only brings height/length.

On the subject of Collier, he looks talented and has great size. Seems underrated. But if we continue exceeding expectations on the field and have a woeful 2017 CB depth chart to appeal to those seeking early playing time, why are we competing with Paul Williams at Illinois for CB recruits? Especially when we should be reaping the benefits of the new staff's first full-year recruiting bump.
