BYU WR transfer Keelan Marion commits to Miami

We have CJ as our leader, it seems Jojo is going to be our #2 guy. The cincy kid and this kid are experienced, but look pretty fast.
They just have to be solid enough until toney and/or moore get it going.
With WR's I dont know. I was told Rambo would stink and Osborn was from buffalo and they turned out good.
JoJo will be WR #1 by midseason if not before. He's that good.

This is the key point. Lashlee's offense always stumbled against top competition. Dawson's doesn't look to have the same ceiling. But he will still need dudes to win their battles in the big games.
I think it's fair to consider that Lashlee had mediocre offensive lines while at Miami while Dawson has had the luxury of having far better lines up front.

Everyone keeps saying this. But we’ve seen nothing. He’s a Greentree AA Until proven otherwise.. I’m sure this place will blame Beard if he doesn’t become a 1k receiver.
Everyone keeps hoping he’s someone close J Smith.
Sorry but it’s not close at all.

We were probably **** near 100% conversion on 3rd or 4th and 1/2 last year. Under Lashlee felt like we were probably 10%

You absolutely can’t put that all on an OC our offensive line was a joke

Who was saying that?

Rambo had a 43 catches, 743 yards and five touchdown receptions season at Oklahoma on a playoff team

Osborn had 53 catches for 892 yards with seven touchdowns at Buffalo

True. And lashlee hand picked the OL coach who didn't bring in enough talent to allow his scheme to run at max effectiveness.
Yes but it's the inherent effectiveness of Lashlee's offense in a schematic sense that is at issue here not his ability to select assistants. Furthermore Lash may have hand picked the OL coach but that OL coach didn't exactly hand pick the Offensive Linemen that he had to work with as they were already on the rooster.

They were both responsible for recruiting and developing all of the above. If we couldn't convert 3rd and/or 4th and short back then the failure was on them both.

Why? Did they recruit all of the offensive linemen who played? That's a ton of true freshmen and sophomore starters. In any event we can agree to disagree.

How about we let him do his thing as a starter for a full year and revisit this convo then instead of doubting his capabilities.

I wonder if Marion will predominantly play in the slot or outside.

He seems to be our only wideout with game breaking speed. Need him to be a difference maker.

He’s got to beat out Ray Ray for that return job. 😎

What sort of role do we see him carving out on offense? Seems like it is unlikely he’ll be starting on the outside with Daniels and Trader. He’s not a slot guy from my understanding. Is the hope he’s basically an upgraded Sam Brown?

He is literally using some of those OL in the ACC right now and went 11-1 or whatever with Jakai Clark at Center. Ryan Rodriguez would start at SMU and be one of their best OL. Zion Nelson if healthy will play for them this year. They have Miami washouts all over the roster and some are already getting drafted.
