I hear his team mate (also lives with his family) is going to Tenn. and there is a huge push to get him to flip and Larry Scott was one of his recruiters. I surely hope the dots don't get connected but I heard this from source close to the Naples program

Thanks for that insider info. Even though it's been documented for the longest time lol

Fils-Aime has been a Tennessee commit since July. Byrd never wavered from Miami, even during the prolonged period between Golden's termination and the hiring of Richt. Scott was hired by UT on January 4. Byrd dominated at the Army All-American Bowl on January 9, throwing up The U constantly during the game and staying rock solid in his commitment. Showed no signs of wavering.

Have a hard time believing this out-of-nowhere interest in Tennessee has that much to do with Scott. Anytime an SEC program swoops in at the 11th hour for an OV and a commit goes from being incredibly loyal to suddenly being open to hearing their pitch, there's reason for skepticism.

I before the duffle bag comments start. They use confederate money up there, but the exchange rate is pretty good.

There are a lot beautiful blondes in Tennessee, let's let the kid paint a few foreheads.

You obviously do not live in Naples and know who Coach Kramer is.The U's coaches respect Fils-Aime,but they don't
trust him to stay healthy;i.e. knees.

Two items to note from a Naples native. One,first recruit for Richt to visit-Tyler Byrd.Second,Byrd's coach is Coach
Kramer. This is not a wishy washy here today gone tomorrow HS coach. This is a coach who has been at same
school over 20 years. And Richt was also here to see the coach.Coach Kramer comment in the paper was Richt
is a person of the highest integrity.
You seriously believe that Coach Kramer would allow one of his players to renege on a commitment!
Tennessee visit to give UM commit Tyler Byrd something to think about
UM got its commitment from Naples four-star cornerback Tyler Byrd on Feb. 3, 2015. Whether the Hurricanes officially bring him in will be known exactly a year later -- National Signing Day 2016.

Byrd, a strong Canes commit for virtually the past year, says he will at least have something to think about when he visits Tennessee on Jan. 29.

"[I have] never visited, so it will be something to pray about and ask for the right guidance," Byrd says.

With Naples teammate and four-star running back Carlin Fils-Aime committed to the Volunteers, the thought of continuing to play with Fils-Aime in college remains in Byrd's mind.

The two have lived together since eighth grade, and if they were to remain together, it could only really happen at Tennessee as Byrd says the new UM staff isn't recruiting Fils-Aime, who committed to the Volunteers on July 30.

Byrd had new UM cornerbacks coach Mike Rumph swing by Naples High on Wednesday and will take his official visit to Coral Gables over the weekend. He says he is definitely taking the Tennessee trip the following weekend and won't change his mind.

It's not the coaches choice.. Him living with Fils-Aime for so long and having the option to keep living with him and play ball with him at the next level will definitely intrigue him. I would say there's a chance he flips given those circumstances

Todd "Bagman" Hartley was spotted leaving Byrd's church this AM without the duffle bag he walked in with (He can be so forgetful). No worries though... Granny Byrd & the pastor came out with bag, all smiles.

kids are allowed 5 visits let them take them. kid is from florida. probably never really left . let him go have some fun at tennesee. i am not worried.

mark richt has won recruits against tennesee and others in sec for years. lets wait till signing day see what happens.

Byrd has been this year's Jaquan Johnson, very loyal and solid commitment, did JJ take visit last year? Honest question, I don't recall.

Using 2 months to assess an HC's recruiting abilities vs. Using the previous 15 years to assess an HC's recruiting abilities.

Okay man...do you.

If Richt loses Byrd I'm done with him. Fly the **** banners

This posting thing that you're doing. You should probably stop now.
Kids been locked down for a year. Larry f'n Scott swooping in last minute and stealing him would tell me all I need to know about Richts capabilities.
