Byrd

There is no doubt in my mind that Tennessee pays players. One of my best friends played WR there in the mid 2000's. I'm not saying Byrd will jump ship but it's never a good thing when your top recruit visits an $EC school last minute!

Tennessee visit to give UM commit Tyler Byrd something to think about
UM got its commitment from Naples four-star cornerback Tyler Byrd on Feb. 3, 2015. Whether the Hurricanes officially bring him in will be known exactly a year later -- National Signing Day 2016.

Byrd, a strong Canes commit for virtually the past year, says he will at least have something to think about when he visits Tennessee on Jan. 29.

"[I have] never visited, so it will be something to pray about and ask for the right guidance," Byrd says.

With Naples teammate and four-star running back Carlin Fils-Aime committed to the Volunteers, the thought of continuing to play with Fils-Aime in college remains in Byrd's mind.

The two have lived together since eighth grade, and if they were to remain together, it could only really happen at Tennessee as Byrd says the new UM staff isn't recruiting Fils-Aime, who committed to the Volunteers on July 30.

Byrd had new UM cornerbacks coach Mike Rumph swing by Naples High on Wednesday and will take his official visit to Coral Gables over the weekend. He says he is definitely taking the Tennessee trip the following weekend and won't change his mind.

Starting to look more and more like Byrd is gonna jump.

Can't blame him wanting to live with the dude when they have the last 4-5 years. Wish they could both come here not sure why new staff hasn't tried. Maybe the don't know the situation

Byrd repped the U so hard at the Army game; just like C Thomas did at the UA game. The only commit I've been worried bout is Bruce, b/c unlike Mullins, Shaq, Byrd, and Allison, he was not reppin' the U and his interviews had always been less than "solid" where he stands w us.

I'm not worried bout Byrd, just like I wasn't worried bout Thomas and his trip to Bama. Pretty sure our staff will lock him down this weekend.

I have 3 kids that I train in the off season that play st UT and my cousin was recruited by them last year and none of them are paid, I know that. But... They are all local within 2 hours of Knoxville and only my cousin was a 4 star, the other 3 are 3 stars.

2 kids I train that are DBs have told me a few guys act really weird and they have new stuff just pop up all the time. New clothes, phones, computers, they eat at the nicest places in Knoxville.. But they never say anything about it. All this while there's guys living in dorms that never eat outside of their meal plan, have pre paid phones barely able to pay for them etc

So ya Tennessee does some dirty stuff for sure

I think a lot of people doubted Bruce was coming when he first committed, with his relationship with Scarlett. I thought he'd be announcing for UF on signing day, to add to what Scarlett did, but it looks like they don't have room, so he's moved on to OSU.

Tennessee just got Callaway, that's 4 CB's in their class, with two already enrolled

Edreed20 told everyone this days ago and was treated like the plague lol... Funny how msgboards tend to work

Started my first thread on here to just pass on some info and got killed on here for being a "troll". And this was before any public news of a visit btw. I didnt want to believe it when i heard it, but there are reasonable draws that could make him flip. My prediction is he still stays with the U.

Now ghost2 needs to unlock the thread so a few folks can eat their allotted portion of crow. Will hopefully remind them that the constant porsting of absolutes without knowledge can lead to real bad looks.

Only good news, blind homerism, and orange and green optimism are permitted here, sir or madam.

Two items to note from a Naples native. One,first recruit for Richt to visit-Tyler Byrd.Second,Byrd's coach is Coach
Kramer. This is not a wishy washy here today gone tomorrow HS coach. This is a coach who has been at same
school over 20 years. And Richt was also here to see the coach.Coach Kramer comment in the paper was Richt
is a person of the highest integrity.
You seriously believe that Coach Kramer would allow one of his players to renege on a commitment!

It's not the coaches choice.. Him living with Fils-Aime for so long and having the option to keep living with him and play ball with him at the next level will definitely intrigue him. I would say there's a chance he flips given those circumstances

UF moved on from him bc Mac is done w his games. he lost his spot bc of his own doing.

Dammit, I didn't want to have to worry about Byrd at all. Fcking Tennessee. What the **** have those ******** done recently? I can understand worry about Bama for Richards. But Tennessee? The fuh!??!!

How many time do committed players visit Miami, say the EXACT same thing, and never once even give Miami another thought?

Byrd sounds like one of those kids.
