Bye Bye Corstal? ACC Possibly Moving Toward Eliminating Divisions

Not bad. I assume that teams would each pick 1 opponent that they would play every year; obviously FSU for us. And beyond that it would just be a random schedule?
All divisions did, IMO, was to make scheduling very easy.

Well the last time the ACC went without divisions we were in the de facto championship game against Virginia tech. But Brock and sonoris could not connect on the same crossing route 2 times in a row (really seems like one of the only plays ran all game).

But in all seriousness I don't like it. I would prefer that they just made conference championship games more important and make everyone have to play them.

I know that twice the SEC has had an all SEC national championship game where the team that didn't win the conference won. But I don't care.

She can't win your conference you don't deserve to be in the playoff. This best team nonsense is dumb and arbitrary. Was it 2 weeks after Michigan State beat Michigan that the committee ranked Michigan higher? That's total nonsense.

Or Ohio State always beaten up on a bunch of nobodys and people saying that they should be ranked extra high versus other teams who are winning against competition? How come when Miami beats Savannah states by 77 points they're not talking about how great we are?

By their criteria really you should have a six lost team that comes on hot and should have as legitimate as shot at a 4 playoff as anybody else.

Their criteria really is just a set of guidelines because there's not automatic eliminating factors that prevent them from considering teams over others.

It would be nice if the playoff committee functioned as a guiding point for the BCS. Like if Oklahoma or Nebraska gets completely blown out in the conference championship game then they don't advance to the national championship. Or if there's controversy between Miami and Florida State to get in the championship game there becomes the stronger human influence.

2020, the Covid year, the ACC was without divisions. Clemson played Notre Dame in Charlotte.

So if the ACC does this do u really think our schedule is going to be favorable? This conference has always tried to ***** us and this would be an easy way. Rule no.1 don’t believe in coincidences. As soon as we get serious about football and are gonna win the Coastal EVERY year here they come. And then all we have to do is beat one team in the championship game and it’s off to the playoffs if we have one loss or less….this is bad for us.
