Another data point showing how historically bad this offense is. This number is so bad that I have a hard time believing that this group of players is the driver in the decline of production.

Steele hasn't been a home run but in my opinion he's been "good enough" to retain. In my opinion the defense is giving us a chance to win but the offense is just doing nothing to help.

I hate to be the guy that moves the goal posts but if you take away the turnovers offensively Steele and defense have been **** near elite.

Yes I know it’s part of the game but this offense is not only so bad at scoring points but it’s also that bad at not turning it over…. Including Mario’s dumb *** going for it every 4th and short

The d line and Steele have been plenty good enough. Flagg is horrific in space and our db’s are putrid at assignment football…. And yet we’re still only giving up 23 with all of those factors above

I tend to agree here. We're turning the ball over at the same clip that Richt did during his last year. That offense scored 5.3 pts more per game though which at least gave that defense a chance to keep us in the game.

That doesn’t even account for special team giveaways…

Yea and you can drill into the data and parse it out, it probably makes it worse. I'm just trying to give a high level view of how historically bad this offense is. I keep hearing the narrative that this group of kids is the problem and I have a hard time believing that given the recent hard data.

Considering that offensive production the defense has been overall solid for the most part, they've been out there constantly fighting an uphill battle, on the field and in their minds watching this **** show of an offense.

Absolutely. I appreciate you putting the data in here. I was in no way giving you **** with my comment… was more so pointing out how bad it’s been with turnovers and how relatively good The d has played when you take it into account.

I'm going to do some research later this week to put into perspective how bad this offense is historically against other teams. If there's anyone who still wants Gattis around... why? At this point I don't know what value we get out of keeping Gattis around any longer.

Obviously tonight was a bad night for Steele. We'll see how he does the rest of the season but today was not encouraging.
