Those are great jobs but everyone knows this is a good place to win championships. Harbaugh probably is going to have a pretty good long run at Michigan and Patterson has probably taken that talent as far as he can. I love Pinkel but maybe he see's winning a ship at Mizzu is almost impossible but at Miami you can win ACC much easier than SEC and can get the talent that bama,Florida and LSU have and go beat them with it. If their expectations are not to win ships then they can say no. Those coaches with our location to the surrounding talent would tear it up! That all being said BBB! Pinkel is my #2 if you are going to take a chance on a up and comer Hermann#3 and Fuente #4I don't understand what makes people think Dantoni or Patterson are going to leave the places they are now where they have things rolling strong and are basically unfireable. Why give that up to come to Miami and have the expectations placed on them that this fanbase will place on them.
So you think Dantoni and Patterson can't win it all where they are? TCU and Baylor have the Texas recruiting base which is pretty good. Yes Texas takes most of the top recruits, but there are enough players to go around. Did you forget both TCU and Baylor had 1 loss last year each and if not for the stupid co champion crap or the fact that FSU was undefeated against weak competition, one of them would have easily been in the playoff.
Look at Dantoni at Michigan St. He is undefeated right now. All they have to do is win out. The only real challenge they have left is Ohio St. who hasn't looked that great this year.
I'm pretty sure they are more than happy to win 10-11 games a year with a shot at a title run every year and a fanbase that is completely ok and excited about that, vs coming to Miami where the fanbase is calling for his head because he fell to 9 wins in a down year in an area where every school is trying to recruit your backyard.
