Was a losers choice to leave Miami for Cleveland. Building the greatest college football dynasty and getting to that raise or leave for the worse NFL franchise in history? I will not argue with you about how great he was when he was here, what he did speaks for itself, but he has no one to blame but himself. If he continued on the path he was he would have been the greatest and highest paid College coach. So in retrospect ya he made a loser decision for the quick money, instead of the long term investment.

Not a great analysis. It's so bad, it's insulting to call it awful.

In hindsight, was BUTCH DAW GAWD's decision to leave for Cleveland not the best? Not many would argue against.

Did he make a "loser decision" at that time? Hardly.

He made the best decision with the information he had. Likely his drive to prove himself at NFL level AND the $$$$$ is what lured him away.

Could his departure been handled better by all actors? Sure, but mostly just par for the course in that business.

Say it again until it is seared upon your meager soul.

Normally I would agree, but even with the season we were having, all I heard was how bad "botch" was, how we were going to beat his boys by 35 plus....blah blah blah.

Bottom Line right now? Botch is 1-0 vs. UM at FIU.

At end of the day both parties made terrible choices in hindsight. I’m sure the extra couple million wasn’t worth it to Butch in hindsight goin to that ****hole in Cleveland.
I’m sure it wasn’t worth losing Butch over a million or two for the administration as well knowing what happened afterwards

Both parties lost out in the long run

Long term if he is successful at UM it would have been more money then what he got from Cleveland, UNC, ESPN, and FIU. If he stays at UM and wins two more years he probably also gets a much better higher paying job and longevity in NFL or another College that pays more then UM. So In the short term great he made more money. STFU keyboard tuff guy

Yeah, my point is simply....can't speak for you...but most who make that claim NOW were dead wrong about that point come game time.

Sure, I was still ****ing and moaning about the DIAZ hire at that point, and called a disgustingly ugly UM win, but the LARGE majority of our fanbase was obviously not paying attention to the product that was on the field before that **** show.
