People on here claim we’d be competing with Clemson in year three but in three previous head coaching gigs his career record is 20-20 in year FOUR.

Downplay Richts wins? What wins do you speak of? He’s the offensive coordinator and in the three years he’s been here we’ve declined every year. We were 125th out of125 on 3rd down conversions a year ago. He’s the worst offensive mind in football. Amazing what happens when your defense doesn’t force 35 turnovers a year.

This is the same guy who went for it on 4th and 2 in our own territory in a monsoon in the 1st quarter and called 4 verticals. He’s a disgrace. Never mention Richts name again as even being mediocre. Quite honestly he’s the worst coach in power 5 right now. Keep running the same plays from 30 years ago.

So the coach who’s 20-20 in the fourth year of his previous three coaching jobs and has one 10 win season in 16 seasons as a HC is a savior.

And another with 10 ten wins season is the worst in college football.

Cool anyone can make an agenda. If he stayed at Miami he would’ve had multiple 10 win seasons. And at UNC his whole team was suspended. Mark Richt is 7-8 in his last 15 games. See what I did there.

Like I said, the excuses and coulda, woulda, shouldas for Butch with you guys are endless and always justified.

But heaven forbid someone point something out that favors Richt in the slightest.

So you know he can't (even though he did) and you know it's a fantasy (even though he just won the most games in the history of their program) He is proving he still has it, he didn't suddenly get Alzheimer's

Last season we were riding a 15 game winning streak and were ranked #2 in the country and won 10 games overall for the first time in 15 years.

How many of those things has Butch done ever? One time in 16 years he won 10 games.

Was Richt the answer last year?

You cherry pick Butch's positives and assume things that defy logic while ignoring since he left here he's been fired twice, been out of coaching for almost a decade, coached here at a completely different era in college gootball and currently has the 115th ranked recruiting class in the country and only 12 commits at FIU, which is second worst in his conference.

Winning 8-9 games proves Butch is a good coach. But he has done nothing since the day he stepped foot off this campus to indicate he can ever replicate the one great team he put together here.

What did we accomplish winning 15 games against no one who has finished in the top 20 at the end of the year? In classic Richt fashion he barely squeaks by horrible teams and then gets EMBARRASSED by good teams. How are you even sticking up for this guy. His offense in the bottom quarter of the NCAA and has gotten worse each year. The offensive stats are atrocious and our turnover differential was 2 last year and he had no control over the defense. The embarrassing 3 games at the end of last year combined with arguably the worst coaching job I’ve ever seen at any level this year has us with the 40 something ranked class at the moment. What a joke you and Mork **** is.

Your answers are so predictable, down to the insult and the name calling, I could have written it for you myself.


Try and keep up dude. I'm not defending Right, I'm using his limited successes as comparison to show how you guys scream failure for what he has done while overlooking the fact Butch has done FAR, FAR less in his career yet somehow is your guaranteed savior.

Every single average to mediocre tenure, record or limited success Butch has had is overlooked by pointing to the one success he had in 16 years and counting as a HC.

He had the sanctions. The BOT screwed him. He would have won 5 straight titles. He would have kept ALL the local kids. Cleveland always ucks. He had no talent at UNC, then the suspensions! He didn't get an interview in eight years cause he didn't need the money. The NCAA screwed him. FIU is the worst program ever.

The excuse list for him s endless with some of you.

Meanwhile Richt is a year removed from winning the Coastal, getting us to the ACC Championship for the first time ever, getting to 10 wins for the first time in 15 years and beating FSU for the first time in seven years,

Yet to the Butch crew he is the messiah and Richt is not one of the worst, he is THE worst coach in college football.

When will you geniuses realize you're just as blind as the people you are accusing?

1) You just admitted you're blind.

2) You're an admittedly blind person telling someone else to open their eyes. Que? :unsure::unsure:

3) Regarding Butch,...well....comparisons are relative. Are we comparing him to Saban,...who's not a possible hire? Or are we comparing him to a head coach that has never led his teams to a National Title game? Butch has been there, Richt has not. I'd take my chances with Butch.

Are they both over the hill? If so,...Butch's outward goal isin't to advance his son and he lets his coordinators call plays, while Richt is our lone offensive playcaller. Even if seeking outside influence crosses his mind for a sec, his penchant to take care of his family wins over what's best for our team. Another win for Butch.

And if we're both biased and want outside opinion on who could run a more successful operation, Butch was a candidate multiple times for NFL HC jobs and was once hired as one,...while Richt never has, per my Google research. Win #3 for Butch.

You see,...we don't have to compare Butch to the Top 5 or Top 10 coaches in CFB right now to clearly make the argument that our program is in limbo and Butch would be a better option.


Georgia effectively said "you can get us these 9-3 years -- like this year -- but we've came to the conclusion that you will never even lead us to a MNC game."

They then fired him.

And Richt was then hired by a program who -- at least per the fans' mental makeup -- has higher standards and aspirations than Georgia.

Let's not twist or distort. Everything you've read (or avoided) in this post is the sheer reality of the matter.

This isin't UGA. We aren't alone in the state.

Per his history, letting Richt do as he wants in Coral Gables for a 4th year is a high risk, low reward situation we're going to helplessly watch play out (because apparently, Richt is going to seek ZERO outside help).
