Butch Davis to any recruit... " I came to Miami and put together the BEST college football team to ever play. I left because the NFL was any coach's dream job. I haven't coached in a while because I have been waiting for this opportunity to finish what I started. Now get your *** in the car and lets go win National Championships"

For those in the SFLA HS scene, does his name still carry a lot of weight? It does for us that were around back then but that has been 15 years.

The kids he'll be recruiting were in diapers when he was coaching at UM.

He could simply reference Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee, and about 50 other guys. I am sure recruits have heard of them.

Most, if not all of these kids have seen the 30/30 films "The U" and "The U: Part 2."

Trust me, they know Butch Davis is a legend and they also know his rep when it comes to team building and getting dudes drafted highly.

If we hire him, they will come in droves.
 
The guy loves Miami, the guy knows Miami, the guy WANTS MIAMI. What the *** else does UM need to know??? He is the perfect fit here. The money they would save from not having to pay a big name coach could be spent on a kick staff... Wake the *** up !!!!!
