Butch Davis is going to save us from Manny Diaz

For you youngsters 69 is NOT OLD AT ALL. If he has his mental capacity he is sharper than most if not all here. I have worked in the senior field for 35 years and some of you have no clue what you are talking about. The President is in his early 70’s and running circles around his counterparts. Butch can do what he did in the late 90’s and save this sinking ship and make it flourish again.
 
Argument 1. He's too old. Shouldn't even be an argument. Too many high performing executives even older to have this argument.

Argument 2. The admin/BOT would never offer. Probably not. He's too aware of how far they've fallen.

Argument 3. He wouldn't take it. He's got it good where he's at. Why would he take a job where the admin would be against you just to prove they knew better?

We're stuck with Manny for at least another year but we can still dream.

butch davis has forgotten more about football than this staff has ever known. The guy has as much energy at his age as they all do.
I dont get the butch hate.

Butch recruits circles around saban, wonder what saban could do without all the perks of bama. He pays top money to his peeps top to bottom, gets to outright cheat and NCAA just looks the other way. No I aint buying saban is a coaching God, even with all he has he still gets beat, *** scares saban to death, he is the better coach. Butch would be 10 x better than anybody we've had since, well Butch. You got one better ?

This post just isn't rational. Saban has won National Championships at two different schools and with dozens of different coaches. You don't think Miami has paid players? Really? Nick Saban is the greatest coach in the history of college football and Butch Davis is not even top 20. If Butch was as good as everything thinks he is then he wouldn't be coaching FIU.

My suggestion is to make friends that don't only cheer for Miami, have conversations with those friends, and you will ultimately understand where Miami falls within college football.

Every coach we had used this job as a stepping stone, after a chip or two, Butch did the same but left a year early as they were trying to F him on his money. I think he went from around 500k to 5 mill, you gotta jump. Saban did the same and at a pretty good team, not the Browns, and was an epic fail. You can plug alot o coaches of the past into sabans gig at bama and get the same result, and even with all that he has going in his favor he has still lost to urban more than once and dabo made his team f'n quit, just flat out quit. Saban is a good CEO no doubt, but given equal talent and two weeks to prepare I'll take urban all day ever day and that's been proven. I would also take dabo, Jimmy, and Dennis. Saban has just sourrounded his self w the best money can buy top to bottom, and also gets the top recruits every year. Lots of coaches would succeed in that situation, but not many schools are gonna go all in like Bama has. Even their professors are all in if you know What I mean, that whole Damm state is all abiut that Tide and nothing else, because there is nothing else there. No he aint no coaching God for Damm sure
