2001 was the "best team of all time" because they actually won all of their games, unlike the 2000 team. If you want to pretend that the 2000 team was just taking a step, look at the players who were on the 2000 team but not on the 2001 team. Larry Coker did it after we lost four first round draft picks.

2000 wasn’t taking the next step... what was it an illusion? Everyone knew they were the best team in the nation and FSU got in instead because of computers. There was an obvious upward ascent to that season. Are you even a Miami fan you seem to know nothing about the program. Starting to think you were a Georgia Richt slurper that made his way over here.

Thank you for admitting that Butch lost with the best team in the nation. And before you blame the computers, blame the meltdown against Louisiana Tech. Yes, I was there too.

You're incorrect, the 2001 team was LOADED with draft picks including multiple first rounders. Matter of fact, we had guys like Sean Taylor and Willis Mcgahee as backups in 2001. All Butch's recruits.

So was the 2000 team the by far the best team in the nation at the end of the season? That answer is yes and that reason is largely why they got rid of the computer system. Carry on though.....

The best teams in the nation lose a game all the time. What’s your point? “Deeer Butch didn’t go undefeated in 2000 he sucks.” I’m not buying it for a second you were old enough in 2000. Won’t believe it.

Lulz the ability to evaluate recruit and develop so many monster players, we had a championship level team 3 years in a row. Starting from the first year he was able to field a full team due to crippling sanctions. Carry on though.....

I really don't care what you believe. That's just a deflection when you can't think of anything to say.

If people are going to crow about the "greatest team of all time" and "30 first round picks", you can bet that we're going to remind you that he lost a game with that team and blew our spot in the computers by letting Louisiana Tech do whatever they wanted while margin of victory was so important.
