My coach makes $4 million per year in a Power 5 conference. Da Gawd is battling Old Dominion and Rice to try to hold on to third place in the Conference USA East Division. If anything, we can tell who is smarter.

Meanwhile, the only thing Butch has done is taken a habitual 3 wins/yr team and lead them to their first 9 win season w a bowl victory w a whole bunch of guys who were either unranked or low 2 stars.

Your coach is making a mockery out of this university by not doing little things to help improve the program ON THE FIELD. Your coach is this close to having us with the worst recruiting class in Miami’s history since they started keeping track of recruiting classes in 2002. Your coach is supposed to be considered an offensive mastermind, yet this offense can’t score 20 points against the mighty UVA, Dooks, Pigeons and Bumblebees of the world. Your coach has NEVER even had a top 10 offense in his entire career.

So please spare me about this “coach” making $4m. This $4m coach got us primed to play in a fcking baseball stadium for our football game!

butch has one of the youngest teams in the country and a qb who is a grad transfer from bowling green.

Richt made banda and patke co-dc's and his son will be calling plays next year. smh also butch doesnt have his wife on the payroll. richt is semi-retired.

He was getting the #1DT inthe nation to go there. He can find talent and he can recruit. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if FIU was closer to looking like a UCF in two years than we are to resembling any kind of consistent ACC champion.

It’s hard to deny the current status of this team. If they don’t come out looking like savages in this bowl game. We may have mutiny on our hands

I’m just looking at the 2000 season alone- what about the FSU game,the vtech game and the 2001 sugar bowl beat down of an elite gator team led by an elite coach- Spurrier? You must be a gator troll- you could not be a canes fan- and the ONLY reason clappy won ANYTHING was because of the Herculean efforts of Paul Hilton “butch” Davis- Hurricane football would be dead without Butch

You don't come off as smart so don't play that angle chief... At the end of the day i could care less about what Butch Davis has done, what Al Golden has done, or what Kirby Smart is currently doing. I am concerned with one thing only: How Mark Richt has done going into his fourth year as head coach of the Miami Hurricanes. What redeems him in your eyes? I'm interested to know what mental gymnastics you go through to justify someone who has achieved a 7-5 record in his third year, with minimal player development, a recruiting class that is projected to be historically low, a revolving door at the QB position, hiring his unqualified son as a QB coach, and keeping him after no actual improvement had been shown, keeping Searles, whose unit had trouble getting push against Savannah State, and manning an offense that ranked in the 70's while playing a cupcake schedule. Again I don't care how anyone else is doing. Richt was brought here to make Miami competitive year in and year out. Instead we go 7-5, and do not clinch a historically weak coastal division.

The good ole days. Butch wasn't a perfect coach but I believe he truly understood Miami football. The man could recruit too. Will forever be thankful of what he was able to build when we were going through very tough times. Other coaches can't say that.

I dont care if the next coach is Mario, or even Diaz, **** Dorsey or Butch... I just want someone that will build a legit staff, if we do that, the croots and wins will come.

If Mario came in, hired a terrific spread OC like Mike Yurchich, a DC like Corey Raymond, really good recruiters with tacticians at key positions like OL & DL, and then of course demanded results, hes gonna win at least 9 to 10 a year and stack croots until the 2ndary looks like an NFL group, the WRs cant be covered, the RBs break gashing runs, Joe Blow 3* QBs will look good, the LBs will be the fastest LB unit in CF and the lines will be athletic. We'd be giving Clemson a run in 4 years, by 6 our system and speed would cause fits, its not as complicated as we may it seem. ****, a competent AD could get it done, but the next HC will have full and complete control, just like the last couple failures have.
