Since we're just throwing ish against the wall for fun, do u think he would come here in that capacity if reached out to and offered a nice bump from his ESPN gig?

He's probably making $100k at ESPN, so anything in coaching would be a "nice bump."

If he were considering a job I doubt he'd be doing interviews saying Miami never called to say he didn't get the job. Not super smart to bash your soon to be employer.

In theory I would be all for it but it's not going to happen. I love Butch for what he built here but it's time to move on

It's politics...you don't say something because it's true, you say it because it gains you something. In this case, if he thought he had a chance at a job and wanted it he wouldn't say anything. But he had nothing to lose and was feeling salty so he said it.

Realistically, it'll never happen. Butch burned that bridge. Then Blake burned that bridge. It'll be a political impossibility.

Didn't he **** on us the day after he told us he wasn't going anywhere? I'm a big butch supporter but the stars didn't align it's the way the cookie crumbles. It would definitely suck to see him on their sideline though.

Bullshat. If FSU takes Butch as DC, it is a sign of panic by Jimbo.

Butch would be a great HC but he hasn't called plays since the Cowboys more than 20 years ago.

And FSU won't get as many Miami recruits as they have in recent past no matter who they hire as DC.
