I’m not chalking up any game as a layup or guaranteed win. Should we win those games? Yeah. We should have won at least 5 of the 7 games we lost last year too but then the actual season started

1 read QB, lol. You clowns are not bright. look that highlight film the ACC put out on him, plenty of times he is reading more than 1 receiver. In most play calls the reads are based on reading a defender and the routes are high-low or middle of the field crosses where the head does not need to move. Last I check I can move my eyes without moving my head much.

It’s just excuses to defend the terrible job by the coaching staff. The default is to blame every player, even guys who have proven to be good under prior coaches. Tyler was one of the country’s best quarterbacks in 2021 and we’re supposed to believe he just forgot how to play.

1 read QBs do quite well all over CFB bc its heavily steered towards scheme for success. it doesnt matter if hes a 0 read QB or 1 read or 8 read (which we debunked in season that hes not a 1 read QB in numerous threads), if the scheme is good, he will succeed.

I’ll believe it when I see it. TVD as much as he can sling it, consistently starts off too slow, and struggles.

Most pass plays have a single pre snap read (mostly just safety alignment) and then one or two post snap (and a check down). People have this idea that on every pass play a quarterback is going through these long 4 option progressions when that sort of thing almost never happens in college football. It happens less and less in pro football now too because teams have realized that asking your line to protect for 3-4 seconds is a recipe for disaster. Everything is about getting the ball out quickly and decisively.

Then the second reads a disaster
 
TVD is a cane..so he’s got my respect. But everything that went wrong for him early on in the season wasn’t play calling..he **** the bed. We saw during stretches in games in 2021 as well..the oline should be better this year and that should help him a lot..but he also needs to be better

Agree to disagree.

He broke Michael's freshman record by a decent margin and averaged just under 3 yards per catch more. All while playing on a ****tier team by far. Yatil had a similar season to Michael. Why you even bring up Green pre-injuty, what else would we be talking about since that's all there was with Richards?

Unfortunately we'll never know for certain.
