Bus from Chicago to South Bend

I looked at hotels this week. The casino ones are the only ones available.
 
Michigan City might be a better option if you aren’t looking to stay in Chicago and don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for Southbend hotels. It’s only 37 miles from ND.

Tailgating there is good, and there are also a few good bars a very short walk.

Train is ok. Drops you at the airport, Uber from there. Planning to take the train over on Thursday.

I booked the bus thing too. Not having to deal with a rental car and parking is worth it. Vs the train, I think the bus is better since it takes you straight to campus; can’t argue with the open bar too.

I think my only hesitation was not having enough time to walk the campus and take some pics but I think it’ll be enough. Plus having some tvs at the tailgate to catch some of the other action that day is nice.
