Bud Elliott top 10 returning QBs

Drew Allar sucks

DJ is way too high especially given he's a ? given he is young and dont really know what you have there. Basically him and Raiola and demond williams should all be on the same rankings as they all showed flashes as true freshmen

No arch is bold for a media person.

No OSU, Bama, UGA, UT, Oregon QB's on the list. This season should be one of the most fun and unpredictable seasons we have had as a bunch of the top dogs are Question marks.

this is obviously intended to be controversial and get reposts based on that....

That's what journalism is about today, you get it and most here don't. Obviously not all journalists, but a decent percentage throw things out there to draw clicks in so people talk about it. I'd say mission accomplished.

He went big though, leaving Manning off of the list. They have a **** ton of fans and I'd imagine they're all talking about it, which again, is mission accomplished.

Are these lists compiled as the best QBs for their college team or the best QBs from a draft/NFL perspective? Strictly as college QBs and the impact to their program:
1. Cade Klubnik - proven top of the line production, experience, system, and tons of receivers.
2. Garrett Nussmeier - top of the NFL board. Experienced with good receivers.
3. Sawyer Robertson - Personal preference to put him here. Good numbers last year but you could make the argument for all of 4-7 to go here
4. Carson Beck - Strictly off prior production he could be higher. I've been skeptical in the past and coming off the injury could have him lower.
5. John Mateer - Not really the NFL prototype but he does things that no one else on this list can do. Could play his way up to 1.
6. Arch Manning - Hype could be as high as 1. Still needs to prove it to everyone in a full-time capacity.
7. Sam Leavitt - Big fan of his with the dual threat ability. Less arm talent than a lot of guys on the list but like Mateer he is a true gamer.
8. Josh Hoover - Needs to cut down on INTs but one of the best pure passers on the list. Good experience and primed to take a huge 3rd year starter jump. Good system. Likely would be better with better WRs.
9. DJ Lagway - Potential to be higher, like Arch. Also has an injury concern. Could play his way higher but the INTs are a concern. System is a concern. Lack of proven WRs is a concern.
10. Kevin Jennings - Take out the playoff performance and he's probably much higher. Means a lot more to his team/system than most similar to Mateer.

Honorable Mention:
1. LaNorris Sellers - had a hard time leaving him off. Inconsistent but very talented. Skeptical of USCjr QB development
2.. Rocco Becht - True gamer.
3. Nico Iamaleava - Talent and system but will it ever be a finished product?
4. Jake Retzlaff - gamer
5.. Darian Mensah - intriguing but don't like the inexperienced/poor QB coach/playcaller at Duke. Brewer isn't what Mensah needed IMO

Some other names I would put on there as well

Diego Pavia and Haynes King. Those guys for their programs are good QB and just gamer QBs.

Ya they're gamers. I like Haynes King but not as much as the top 15 above. He would probably be in the 16-20 group. Pavia would probably be in the 21-25 group. Just lacks ability to throw.

Why do they love Drew.

FTR, Tom infamously did not have Cam Ward on his top QB list of 2024.

Not that anybody's keeping count, but 6/10 of those QB's are from Texas...
The other thing people have missed is that that list is actually from Ari and Andy on on3, not bud Elliot. I hate defending him, but he clearly thought that list was ridiculous as well, and that’s why he’s directing people to roast it

No there’s 3 different lists, that was Buds

Ari and Andy both have their own lists

all 3 have DJ Lagway at #1

Only Andy has Beck on his list and it’s at #10

I stand corrected. I swear that I assumed it wasn’t his because castellanos isn’t on it. Apparently, I’m a dumbass

And yet Beck’s surgery is months behind him, while they are talking about Lagway possibly needing surgery due to his pain…So the plan is to have the surgery after the season.

Edit: forgot to mention Lagway also has a lower body injury that is keeping him out of spring drills.

Combo of both upper body (shoulder keeping him from throwing) and lower body (keeping him from running any drills).
