If we don't land him its because he was never coming here. I seriously doubt we get beat out for a local phenom because of an NIL deal.

Some kids just want to follow their own path, and theres really nothing that can change that. We were his first offer and have been recruiting the kid relentlessly since. Nobody in our program should be blamed if he doesn't stay home.

Still think he's a Cane.

He and his family are looking for proof of concept this fall from his top schools. A visit to Texas over the weekend marked the first of Wright's fall schedule and he witnessed what could be one of the best games of the season. The Longhorns stormed back from down 20 points to beat No. 1 ranked Ohio State. Not only did the win help, Wright also witnessed Steve Sarkisian's offense come alive in the fourth quarter. I continue to view Miami as a top contender in Wright's recruitment, but the Longhorns are in a similar tier and only helped themselves after a positive stay in Austin. Next up for Wright is a visit to Florida for their matchup with Ole Miss on Sept 26.

Agree , I thought he was hanging with Tony this summer
 
It’s been months since Texas emerged alongside UF as the teams to watch outside of the main contender, Miami, and yet not a single recruiting reporter figured it might be a good idea to ask Brysen or his father how they feel about Ffrench transferring out of Texas after one season, or what’s his relationship like with UF’s backup quarterback (another mandarin alum).
