Brysen Wright on campus

Not to hijack this thread.. wingo is different.. he moves different.... this is your #3 wideout
In any other year he is on the field immediately.. Will be interesting to see it play out because from what has been said he is different on field and only thing that will elevate it is actual game time..

Imagine him and Nic and Wingo on the field together mane

“The Florida schools, Miami, Florida do a good job,” Wright’s father Colby said. “Texas has done a good job. Ohio State we have to reestablish stuff there with (Brian) Hartline being gone but they’ve been communicating.”

“Moreso looking at the field and product schools put on the field,” Colby said. “We’re looking for something he wants to be part of. Proof of concept is more important than the recruiting things people do.”

Miami has been a front-runner out the gate for Wright and a summer visit with Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes reiterated why the family is so high on the Hurricanes.

“He went to Miami and had a good visit down there,” Colby said.

“Miami is kind of killing it right now. They made it to the National Championship game last year. They’re in good position to do it this year. We’ll see what happens with the quarterback. The recruiting class they have 27 is another talented group they’ve brought in and they do a good job with the consistent communication with athletes. And they have a couple quarterbacks committed so you know that quarterback won’t be an issue for those guys.”

His camp is consistent with their message. Deep playoff run + elite passing attack + great offer $$ and we will get this done IMO. Cypher killing it and reclassifying would be huge here too.

I'll be honest.

Dad sounds like he's just posturing for a reason to push away from UM. I know things are different now, but we've all heard these statements before.

The problem he has is there's nothing objectively bad to say about Miami right now. However, he's leaving the door open for that ONE thing to use against us.

Won’t push back on that. We have experienced that for far too long and this feels/sounds similar. It’s time for us to flip the script though.

You're not wrong. Definitely has those vibes but eventually, someone has to break the cycle. Why not here and now with Brysen?

I read that as great for Miami as there is a public acknowledgement of a ‘reestablishment’ needed at OSU since Hartline is gone.

Texas fits the criteria for what he wants as well but that’s when our playoff run, Wingo, Mario / Dawson / Beard building up the longterm relationship, Knox, Malachi Toney, Brody Jennings, and being in-state leaves us in a much better position than the rest of the field.

UF is a sleeper but unless they win 10+ games, it won’t be enough to make the family secure in what the future will be with Sumerrall. Mandarin alums Tramell* Jones and Drake Stubbs are still over there.

Back to Texas, Mandarin alum Jamie Ffrench, former blue-chip WR prospect, transferring from Texas to Michigan is most likely viewed as a massive red flag for the Wright family.

If we handle business we should be good.

It’s crazy if you grow hating a team but when your son is a five star that has to change. Imagine a team you hated but that team is winning and the people from top to bottom are truthful trustworthy and amazing. It would change any father’s view cause you love your family, and anyone making them smile and showing them those traits has to help separate fan from father.

This will come down to money. When it gets critical, teams are gonna start upping the bag like they did with Myson Johnson Cook. Pretty much every team he will consider will be likley playoff team, national title contender and recent WR and QB success to varying degrees. Leaving money.
