Bryan Pata case update - upcoming bond hearing for Jones

I don’t even know in a retrial how you make his involvement more concrete

But the fact remains, there are people convicted on cold cases all the time.

They need to do a better job of presenting the cell phone locational evidence. Perhaps get the girlfriend to testify. Maybe get more players to testify. Still not sure it will result in a conviction, but you have to make the effort to try to erase the MASSIVE incompetence on the part of the police.

If you look at Jones now in the courtroom, you can kind of see he looks like a beaten man, he looks like he doesnt sleep much and isnt enjoying life.

Its crazy to think that majority of people there said he wasn’t guilty.

But, it is a mostly circumstantial case.

I think he is guilty but I also don't think you can convict someone for murder based off the evidence they're presenting. Both the state and Miami PD are so inconceivably inept in all facets of this, honestly the best resolution is to just let this die, have the Pata's sue them for negligence, pay them off, and be done with all this. I know that's gross and if I said that to someone in Bryan's family, they'd be justified in knocking my teeth out, but this whole thing is incredibly ugly and pathetic.

First of all-"not guilty" does NOT mean "innocent." It means that there is one reasonable view of the world in which the defendant did not commit the crime. Our system allows many wrongdoers to walk. That is a societal choice over having innocents punished. I do not know if this defendant killed Pata. I do know it is tragic for his family to not know that his killer has been punished. From what I have read, the police-state attorney did a poor job of investigating this murder. I feel for the family irrespective of the ultimate outcome.
