I just don't understand the Mario thing. I've heard some rationales that kinda make sense (he's pushing for the gig, he's likeable, he's paid off the media/coaches, he knows South Florida) but to have THIS much buzz from so many different people? I simply cannot wrap my brain around it...
 
What a list, one guy was a complete failure at his one HC job and the other is a complete failure at his current HC job. Only at Miami would these two bozos be considered legitimate candidates.

At this point, I'm starting to get really afraid this POS has already been hired and they're just giving him time to assemble his staph . Means James Coley will be retained as OC for openers. Just sickening.

Maybe the fact that 50% or more of the population are Hispanic/Latino, so the Hispanics/Latinos, the people who think they owe Hispanics their due, and finally, who knows maybe some people are trying to appease Senor Frenk for another Latino/Hispanic to the be at the Helm. Whatever is the real reason for this Cristobal Craze is, it's freaking crazy and irrational. I mean if we need to get someone of Hispanic/Latin origin, then throw in Rich Rodriguez in the conversation. Better yet, give me this guy Flores.webp He won a super as a player, ***'t coach, and as a Head Coach. If the Kansas State can take Snyder, then give the SB winner for our first Hispanic Coach.

After seeing the boards lately, he is the coach this fanbase this deserves.
 
We hired Coley for recruiting
We hired Ice for recruiting
We hired the Gulliver guy for recruiting.
Enough hireing people for recruiting
Hire people who can win football games and recruiting will take care of itself.

More importantly, who gives a rat's a$$. Being hung up on Blake is nothing more than excuse #56 . It's not like he will be hired at UM if Butch comes and UNC and the NCAA are done with all that ****.

The guy literally must be the biggest media kiss-*** in the history of coaching- which is amazing because he was supposedly difficult to work with at FIU. The worship of anything Saban only exacerbates the slurpage. It's like we're supposed to be grateful for anything Lil Nicky has even tangentially touched. I really hoped to be ambivalent toward Cristobal if we (please God) pass on him. Now I not only want us to pass on him but I need him to actually get a job somewhere and be exposed as a junk HC just to set the universe right. Even then Feldman and The Big Dough types will probably just claim "poor fit".
 
Imaging if Dana hired Bud Foster as DC, they'd be the Norm and Cliff Claven of coaching
