Bronco Mendenhall will be a successful coach at UVA. To me, his hiring at UVA, was an odd one, but if he gets some time he will have a very solid program. He was use to getting some underrated players to come to BYU and dealing with an academics focused admin, like he now does at UVA. The Coastal will be a tough conference....Miami, VT, UVA, UNC.

I know, I know...this may be "filler", but future games against UVA will be big games.

Good - we need coastal teams to step up (especially if FSU is gonna continue to suck).

Our resume is the reason we have to go undefeated. Would've been nice if VT didn't lose to GT.

The future of ACC is solid with Miami, Clemson, FSU, Lou, UVa, VT, etc.

i dont think so. Dont think they will recruit at the level to do so.

Va Tech isnt going anywhere..and big 10 schools are starting to sit in VA along with UNC, and Maryland.

He's a solid coach...but you got to have the dogs..and once kiser and blanding those leave what do they have?.

ACC easily has the strongest coaches of any conference.

Though I wouldn't be surprised to see Babers and Fuente jump to bigger jobs. Even Cutcliffe might be tired of Duke at this point.

Hard to ever see Dabo, Jimbo or Richt leaving

There's some **** decent pockets of talent in Virginia. They will always be a well-coached, tough team and very tough when they have a lot of upperclassmen.

Good coaches don't need dogs, and average coaches don't use dogs right

VT will be ranked tomorrow, so that's good and a "good" resume win

ND survived, thankfully as they will remain top 10 and that's an "amazing" win

GT really ******** us, they were receiving votes on the poll even with 4 losses so could have finish the season ranked and helped our resume but they got demolished by duke

Toledo winning out including the bowl game would help our season look better in hindsight maybe, who knows

Disagree, if they don't have a qb in the fold then they will be in trouble. Their best players are mostly seniors and juniors. Our best players are seniors, juniors, sophomores, and freshmen. That's why it will be hard to stop with more guys coming in and gaining confidence through big game experience.

Yes they do.

UVa ain’t ****. Their “most talented team ever” (featuring Al Golden) got handled by a decent Miami squad in 04. At their best they are 8-4 under Mendenhall.

Nah. Mike London recruited well.

Gimme a solid coach any day.

Mike london was a high school level cvoach though.

Like i said....they got to recruit to be formidable...at their best with this mendenhall guy they are a 8 win team. theyve basically gave the state to va tech and everyone else. **** we neede to set up shop up in the 757 area for prospects. Realize as good as they played today..they lost by 16...thats as good as they will get considering all the guys making plays for them were upperclassmen or transfers like the qb

Always some good prospects in that area but i agree I’m not sure how Mendenhall will connect with them. We will see. I expect them to be a solid team though.

I knew UVa was going to give us a run for our money the minute they were saying the turnover chain was cool. They weren't harped on it like ND was.

Unless VA starts to out recruit vtech, then they will never be serious. ****, it took for one of the most dynamic players ever for vtech to get to a championship and haven't really been close since. Each team may cause an upset or 2 but serious contenders is a stretch

Mendenhall is a solid coach. He and his staff put together a good game plan today but came up shirt against a more talented team. He inherited a some good players from a poor coach. Let’s see if he can assemble a string of solid recruiting classes and build up a deep roster. UVA will be a tough place to win big; 8-9 wins is their ceiling.
