Brohm Presser

It’s a home game. The fanbase is insanely energized. Coming off of a bye. I’m not stressing this. Our front 4 can get home. This is the first non mobile QB we will have played. So UL has two options. Hope they can keep him upright long enough for the route concepts to take hold. Or quick pass us to death. Which 5 teams have done. With very limited success.

We lose if we come out flat and not ready to play. Every keeps saying rat poison, rat poison, rat poison. Honestly we got insanely lucky the FSU game went the way it did. The score was closer than it should’ve been. A lot to clean up can’t come home saying we whooped our rival 45-3. Then Franklin and Pedo State dominated the headlines until IU became the darling for 12 hours until Franklin got canned. Our win became an afterthought by noon on 10/5.

Brohm can scheme stuff up. But eventually you meet a bigger dog who’s just faster and stronger. We didn’t hire Hetherman to just be marginally better. He was hired to suffocate the ACC. I just don’t think this’ll be close. I just don’t.

Th guy is a **** good coach. He will have them ready to go injuries or not. This game will be closer than I’d like but i expect the dl to do its thing late when it matters.

If Mario doesn’t Mario we should be good

That's an eye-opening quote.
Yes, but very honest. I've watched Florida a handful of times, and no one came close to doing what we did to them on D. No one. Our DL is the best I have seen since the late 80s here. The best since the JJ D lines. Better than 2001-2002. Better than 1991-92. This D line reminds me most of the Jerome Brown, Daniel Stubbs lines than anything we've had since. Just dominating. I honestly thought I'd never see that again at UM.

-Miami's Defense by Quarter is 8th Nationally Quarters 1-3. They are 131st in the 4th Quarter.
-
Louisville has the 5th best scoring Offense in the 4th Quarter.

I suspect part of this is playing conservatively in the 4th quarter and running the ball for 3 and outs. I hope this trend doesn't continue, and that we can get a big enough lead so that this doesn't become an issue. This is a much better team than FSU, and we see how that almost snowballed.

I respect Brohm overall as a HC and play caller, it's a shame they gave that game away against UVA as this would be undefeated vs undefeated and another ranked win for us.

he sounds defeated a bit doesn't he? I'm not sure I've seen a coach so openly down about his team's chances.. maybe because we haven't been this good lmao.

also, maybe the best thing I've ever heard of spoken about a miami team -- at the 11:15 minute mark, he says his staff has talked with Florida coaches who said we have the best front they've seen (including SEC teams) in the last 3-4 years

“Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak.”

We need to beat them so badly that the next time we see him this video looks like he's at a birthday party.

Listen I wouldn't go that far because those teams mentioned had monsters at DT and right now we just have very good players at DT IMO. I do love this DL though and think they're the best in the nation.

Something tells me you can take this press conference and duplicate it for every coach for the rest of the season.
Not surprising at all Mario’s gonna make Louisville out to be the next greatest thing since the 72 dolphins so…

There used to be a coach at Vero Beach HS (Billy Livings?) who during the 1980s had some very good teams, but everytime they played an opponent he talked them up as being the best team he has ever seen on film and that his poor, little, slow country boys were going to have their hands full keeping the score close. Then his adorable little Vero Beach Indians would proceed to beat them.
I remember watching his team play the Miami Columbus squad which had Mike Shula, Highsmith, etc and they were a handful (Columbus did win). The game being televised on local (Ch17?) TV with
then Southridge HS coach Don Soldinger doing analysis and laughing at Livings' pre-game antics.
Soldinger commented about how well-coached they were.
Anyways, it is all about Coach-Speak, but this doesn't discount what the uf coaches told Brohm.
