CB Brody Jennings (Jacksonville) has a ton of interest in Miami and Miami absolutely loves him. He's currently a Michigan commit but that's tenuous. This one had a ton of momentum going into the weekend but real-life events have taken over (his father, Bradley, tragically passed away from a heart attack this week). Praying for his family. ​

The Canes just landed the #1 player in the country, and now they want to make a move towards the #1 class. Here is the latest on all the visitors headed into a loaded recruiting weekend:

- There is momentum with elite RB Derrek Cooper (Chaminade). I would peg Miami as the leader going into the weekend. It's still a battle, though, with Ohio State and Texas right there. I'd place Georgia behind those three at the moment. Cooper is a huge priority, as Miami does not want to lose the most talented player in South Florida. They're focused on changing that narrative.

Not that UM has any say in his decommitment, but Fri and Sat is their last meeting with the NCAA. At this point, I don't believe the NCAA is going to concede anything on a deal. What is coming will start leaking over the next month until the penalties are announced.
I believe Rayshaun Benny, 3 tech, 295lbs., is expected to be their top DT. Clemson transfer Tre Williams, HS top 100 player, is also a 3 tech, but at 315 about 20lbs heavier than Benny. Bama transfer Damon Payne Jr, a former 5*, 305 lbs. Get our DT.

The Canes hosted 17 recruits this weekend for official visits, and the staff is happy with it how it went. Here is the latest on each visitor:

- Miami continues to move in the right direction for RB Derrek Cooper (Chaminade). He's an extremely high priority recruit and enjoyed learning about the different ways this offense can feature his speed (10.7 100M). I liked Miami going into the visit and still feel that way.

- Top-ranked WR Tristen Keys (Hattiesburg, MS) made his third visit to Miami and continues to express significant interest. This weekend was...
