Brian Edwards breaks down his commitment to Miami

Interesting that Banda was his primary recruiter. All of those sucking off Rumph for landing this kid need to lay off. Rumph needs to land Marco or he is going to reach bum status really quick.
Man, why are you guys always attacking Coach Rumph?? Lol, Smfh...
We just landed a great South FLA prospect who's excited about being a Cane and helping us rebuild our program and the only thing you wanna focus on is who landed him?
Good god man, you think Coach Richt hired Rumph just for sh**s & giggles?
Must some Canes fans always look for a negative even in the most positive of circumstances?
If Edwards turns out to be an All-American in 2-3 years, is the first thing you're going to say is, "But Rumph didn't recruit him!"
You ever think maybe Banda was the primary recruiter because the staff wants him at Safety?

I'm happy for the commitment but that doesn't excuse Rumph from his responsibilities. He needs to show me something former Cane or not. He's in a profession that's judged by his ability to coach and recruit. So far he hasn't shown to be much of a recruiter. I can somewhat give him a pass for not landing Burns or Eubanks last year. But not being able to land a former player (Wilson), that is said to be at the top of the board, for a position desperately needed is going to be telling.
What do you mean last year? Are you judging him for possible transfers he didn't get at AH?
Lmfao mannnn GTFOH, Lol! You clearly just don't like him for whatever reason, and you're absolutely being unfair.
So, what do you want to happen? If he doesn't land Wilson and flip Bandy he should be fired before the season starts right?
Lol... F**kin' ridiculous, C'mon bruh.

You got to be kidding me bro. I meant the 2016 recruiting class. What other class did Eubanks and Burns come out of? Use some of that common sense, ding bat. No I'm not saying he should be fired for not landing Wilson but its going to be a big red flag when it comes to his ability to recruit. And if our secondary looks like *** that will be another red flag. Enough of these red flags or warning signs and yes people should be calling for his head.

For the 2016 class he had literally been on the job for less than a month, WTF was he supposed to do?!?!
Smh, you trippin' fam...

Great interview. Edwards sounds like he has his head screwed on straight and is loyal to his family. I have no doubt that he'll put in the work tot prove he deserves the scholarship and will go on to earn his way onto the field. Love the fact he wants Cooper in the class and isn't at all afraid of the competition (yes, I know it's different positions, but Edwards will be a hybrid and take snaps from both CBs and Ss; great fit for Diaz' scheme).

Who is Cooper?

Edwards is

Dingle
Ford
Steed
Burns

I think they will have to play well enough to earn that fourth star. Not too worried about start seems like if we get the right the people the stars will align anyway.

Thanks for catching. I meant Amari Carter, not the other famous Amari who should have been a Cane.

I think Rumph is the coach and Banda is the recruiter. You have to have 5 recruiters and 3-4 coaches on the staff. Most guys are not great at both. Rumph is there to work them once they get here. Banda is here to send recruits Mom's love letters. Got to work in tandem.

That's rich *** hat. Is that your **** buddy Rumph in your Avi? Sorry I'm not swallowing Rumph's seminal fluid like you seem to be doing

I think he could play early. Still skinny, but super fluid in those tapes, and we will need the depth for sure. Love this pickup.

Projecting out:

CB

Redwine
Jackson-Kerr
Young
Edwards
Henderson
Bandy (?)
Marco/Dean (I think we get one of them)

S

Johnson
Finley
James
Wright
Gibson
Amari Carter (?)

Nickel

C. Wright
Bandy (?)
Edwards
Young

Going to be a really young group but the talent is starting to fill out, and this is assuming we don't get ***an or Daniel Wright at safety.

6'3 corners are rare. Hopefully he gets a bump in the ratings this year like he should

I'm hoping he goes as much under the radar as possible. A baller is a baller no matter what the stars next to the name. More stars means more SEC teams trying to lure him away. I feel what you're saying tho

I think Edwards will be moved to SS next year & probably redshirt.
Also, don't sleep on Knowles, I could see him being the FS after Jenkins & he could hold it down til Frierson gets here who will absolutely start as a TF.

DeeJay Dallas said he's playing DB here. Said he's going to be used like Brandon Boykin was used under Richt at UGA.

Which is primarily at CB, then KR/PR and some WR/QB/RB in his own package basically.
