How on Earth could anybody be unhappy with Brennan? Good grief.

Agreed.

He also seems to be on a trajectory to being a major college coach. Say what you want about Golden but he obviously sees a lot in Brennan. He is very involved during gamedays, and much more than just a recruiter. Seems destined for a big career IMO.

Offensively, Golden has been hitting home runs with every hire. McDonald was excellent, as was Terry Richardson. Fisch is in the NFL after two years and Coley is probably on a pit stop before he becomes a head coach at a major program. Brennan is right in line with the rest of those guys. Fundamentally, our receivers have been OUTSTANDING. Extremely aware of where they are on the field (almost never see our guys not get a foot down), they always give effort in the running game, and we never have miscommunications between the QB and WR. That's solid coaching all the way around.

Hurns before Carroll - not much. After Carroll - 1000 yard WR. As Pete's son he was probably suspect to USC fans. Al pick him and Jed from Pete. Both look like good gets. Al has great taste in coaches. It is his friends we doubt.

What about Jefro?

Nice recruiter, but our DL technique and development has been pretty poor.
