I don’t think it is. They banned Pete Rose for it. Terry Rozier has the feds after him because of it. That’s what made this so important to crack down on. This is NBA levels of Tim Donaghy. You cannot have a player betting on games. I don’t understand how TT and some posters on here (won’t say any names) didn’t understand the implications. You cannot field a product if your consumers don’t believe in it. The NFL is not college football. They won’t even entertain it. Sorsby needs to get actual help. He shouldn’t be playing any competitive professional sport until he understands that he cannot be betting on it.

It is ruthless but warranted. Seems like he thought he’d just a slap on the wrist and then get picked in that draft and make millions.

Why would the NFLPA want anything to do with him? He’s proven since way back at Cincy that he isn’t trustworthy. As mentioned in my previous post, what NFL team would want him & today the NFL loudly stated that they didn’t. Not sure he can ever fix the mess he’s created.

NFLPA membership is mandatory for all active NFL players. You automatically become a member the moment you sign an official contract or are drafted to an NFL team. Former player membership is free and available to any player who previously signed an NFL contract


my guess is hes hoping the NFLPA takes up his cause as he cant join bc he doesn't have the chance to be drafted but the NFL could just say he could always apply next year

The NFL unofficially said keep your nose clean for a year. We will investigate/keep an eye on you, see updates that you are sticking with GA and we will let you in next years draft. This way they NFL doesn’t have to suspend him, have him on a roster where he will want to “stay engaged with his teammates” by gambling and not have local and national reporters pestering him and his new team with questions that will lead to unnecessary questions for his new organization. I personally hope he is never given a chance. Betting on sports is the one thing that all sports league in the entire world doesn’t allow. You can drunk dive, domestic violence, take drugs but gambling ruins the integrity of sports. If you allow gambling on sports, you basically make all sports WWE.
