I would not want him on my team.. couldn’t trust him at all.

Dude bet on games for teams he was actually on.. dude was betting on sports most people don’t give a **** about.. dude is a straight up gambling junkie and addict..

Could you imagine if he had one of those TVD int games? Or if he threw that Beck int in the natty? Dude would always get the side eye and honestly need 24 hour protection down here.

Sorsby happened to get caught but he’s one of THOUSANDS of players that are doing it right f ing NOW!!!!

Nah home team, I’m throwing stone. Dude got caught and should pay the price.

No doubt teams have unreported issues of players speeding, stealing, selling drugs, DV (hitting a woman) and etc. but it’s not “illegal” until reported to the proper authorities and/or public outcry…Get caught, do the time.

Saying that, let all the chips fall as they may if other players are betting on their own team and that includes my beloved Canes. I’m not a gambler but the integrity of the game in all sports should be paramount.

I’ve been a Canes football fan and season ticket holder for 40+ years. In the matter of fact, for a few years Cane football is the only sport I would make time to watch. And finding out one of our players had been betting on our games would seal that deal for me and sports.

And if they are at least 1% as retarded as Sorsby, then they have most likely been flagged, investigated, and reported by ProhiBet (or similar), just like they reported Sorsby to Cincinnati in August 2025. The Big 12 also had access to this info. The conferences contracts ProhiBet. Every conference contracts some similar service. Cincinnati and the Big 12 did nothing. So why are they outraged now? It’s not far-fetched to believe other schools/conferences have similar instances of players being reported by ProhiBet.

Last week we found out from the NCAA court filing that Sorsby was also flagged and reported by ProhiBet to Cincinnati also in August of 2024 and that is when one of his accounts was banned. He had to take a gambling information course at Cincinnati. AND THIS IS BECAUSE HE WAS FLAGGED FOR PLACING 40 BETS ON HIS OWN TEAM.

So Cincinnati knew for two seasons. The Big 12 had access to this information for 2 seasons. Nothing happened except Sorsby had to watch a PowerPoint presentation.

I’m not buying the outcry by the Big 12.
 
A rogue judge's ruling having far sweeping federal ramifications....don't even get me started on this garbage.

All I'm going to say is this, this is EXACTLY the type of incident that will open the door for Congress to get involved under the guise of "doing what's right for the sport" and before we know it we'll be right back in an environment where the SEC can cheat and everyone else is expected to follow the rules or get put on probation twice in 20 year span.

How is this Sorsby issue not being sent to the Supreme Court? I'm not an attorney, someone please explain this to me like I'm a retarded 7 year old.
 
Texas Tech is going to ruin any actual future, outside of football, Sorsby has, and he seems like the type of chick that would spend the rest of his life blaming them for everything he asked for

I’ve gone after Miami players for driving issues just like Georgia just Georgia has like 90 of them
 
Ask yourselves this honest question ...If Darian Mensah was ruled ineligible for a similar or whatever other reason and then got reinstated by an injunction..would we be banging the doors down for him not to play? the CFP committee banning any player ruled ineligible by the NCAA with an injunction pending would be the only way to remedy the problem.

Ask yourself a question. Do you want your starting QB to be someone with a history of gambling on his own team? How much trust do you have in him the second he throw's a terrible int?

Are you a bit dense? He bet on his own team. That's the ******* red line.

Athletes shouldn't bet on sports games in the first place, not only because it's dumb as ****, but it invites people to be in your life that you absolutely do not want in your life (ask Michael Jordan, amongst others).

Betting on your own team is the closest thing to insider trading there is. And it literally opens the door for thrown games and point shaving. US sports has had dozens of gambling scandals over the past three decades and this is the first one where someone only gets suspended for two games for the sole reason of crooked judges who have now completely lost the plot.

If a Miami Hurricanes athlete was to bet on his own team, he should be thrown off the team and have scholarship and NIL removed immediately. Athletes get away with so much **** that the average public doesn't get away with, let's not encourage them to be complete dumbasses.

This is my issue and @YLCANE has left out of his argument. I have no doubt every team has dozens of players with gambling accounts. How many of THEM are/were betting on their own team?!?!
