Sorsby to my Jets in the Supplemental draft at a fraction of the price would be interesting but do we lose a first rounder if we do that?

Correct. I worked nearly a decade in addiction research. Lots happening in the brain and there's also a genetic component.

and THAT is why I think it is a huge mistake for equity / stock day traders and Kalshi / polymarket gamblers

it's like starting with marijuana knowing it will end with heroin

in the brain chemistry- a bet is a bet and an addictive personality will get hooked whatever the bet.

You lose the same round pick as where you took them.

If everyone passes on him in the first round, he might go as a "second rounder". If everyone passes on him in the second round, he could go as a "third rounder".

So if the Jets got him in the 4th round of the Supplemental, they would lose a fourth rounder the next year.

I am social drinker and have no problem having a couple drinks and being good. But some people can be in same environment with same drinks but they have urge to get blackout.. Hard for some to understand but more so than other addictions it seems.

Like mentioned in thread earlier, you have middle school kids and such stealing credit card from parents to gamble, the betting sites were PAYING streamers to gamble online to get the kids hooked early. They would just give drake 1 million to blow online while he shared it publicly, its alot going on that people seem oblivious to until grim reaper hits home and then shrug and keep going..

I am interested too. Like I said, I know nothing about this stuff, but I did a little bit of research and it seems that there are three different types of ADHD now. Like they used to say there was ADD and ADHD back when we were kids, but now they’ve merged the two and call it hyperactive type, inattentive type, and a hybrid type. My friend suspects he’s the inattentive type because he’s never had the hyperactive issue so he never suspected this until he learned about the link to addiction.

Exactly. With all these new cash advance and payment options online, even people who have used up all their credit and savings are still able to keep racking up debt. They don’t even have to go through bookies. It’s so exploitative.

i feel like this is bigger in the US than in other cultures where drinking is introduced at a lower age. young adults essentially start binge drinking the moment they get to late HS/college bc its something new and youre not able to daily. that often carries with people for the rest of their lives if thats what theyre used to vs in Europe, its part of the culture and there is on average less binge drinking. also

I guess the only upside is that the online sites don’t break legs for lack of payment.

Would be tempting in the bottom of the second, especially for a team that has multiple 2s.
