I remember the game and throw too but there's no way to know or prove it was intentional, unless he literally bet against himself and his team. Sometimes good QBs make horrendous throws.

Easy.. someone finally snitched or blabbed. The betting apps sure didn't. They could care less whose money they're taking and definitely don't want any bad press.

But your post is a good one, and it does bring up the possibility based on what we now know about him now. Based on his gambling history, people are always going to have questions about plays like this, and they’re definitely legitimate questions.

Everyone can judge for themselves based on the screenshots and the video. Cincinnati receiver is circled in yellow in the first picture, Nebraska is in the white jerseys.

Nah, not intentional.

He's just staring down the WR & led the S to the ball. Each of his throws on that drive were his first read.

That said, he's soo gifted. Ceiling is incredibly high for this young man, and he's doing the right thing for his career by seeking treatment.

Oh yea he sucked that game. For some reason I watched nearly the whole game and really wanted Cincinatti to win. Don't even rememebr why.

I haven't done so in years, not so much because of the gambling pitfalls but because watching sports — especially College Football and College Basketball — gives me joy. And I don't want to be rooting for my money as opposed to the team I actually want to win (or lose)

Thats a huge reason I dont do it, cause I cant root for enemy players that wear different jerseys, and I am not wasting money and just throwing it away F that.

You might be right, but then again the double coverage was in his field of vision from the video that I saw, and especially the DB that was right behind his receiver (or in front depending on your perspective).

As he was throwing, that DB was just maybe 3 or 4 yards away from the receiver.

Of course you can explain it by saying that he locked into his first read/receiver and just didn’t see the other defensive back, but at best it was just a poor-judgment locked-in throw, one that should not happen with someone that’s supposed to be arguably the top QB prospect in the transfer market.

But because of his gambling history, it leaves a door open for people speculating that it was something else, whether it was or it wasn’t.

Yeah, I didn’t personally remember that I just remember reading about it at some point. But I don’t remember the Whitey Bulger part, but it makes sense since it was in the Boston area and I guess that was around the time that Bulger was running wild. To be honest, the only reason I know about Bulger, is because of the movie The Departed, even though that was pretty much 90% fiction.
