2026 Breck Kolojay 4* OL from IMG (via Littleton, CO)

He would be a miss but we have 3 ****** interior ol committed.

-This was an instate recruitment...a TON Of resources werent implemented.

You see how huge of a miss he is if he doesnt commit how much NEW OFFERS go out at the guard position.

Now it seems some of yall are searching out being mopes. Because if your ready to faint off on a miss of a kid when you possibly have 4 (ervin may can play guard) current interior ol propsects.

* Im the one who stated he was my favorite interior ol....and im saying he isnt a HUGE MISS should be all you need to know.

Got it not a huge miss because we got Bubba Sparks and Mario has been killing it so far with finding center prospects

And no you saying it’s not a huge miss doesn’t automatically change my mind I can use my own brain

Yes, he's a huge miss, because you poured a lot of time and effort into him, and he didn't come here (again, assuming he doesn't, who the **** knows?). So yeah, you have your entire staff putting hours and hours of labor into recruiting the kid, untold dollars, and you don't get him. That is literally the definition of a miss. A kid who you recruit on the periphery, rarely visit, maybe get in for a UV, that's it....not really much of a miss. You didn't allocate much to him. This kid, far different story. You swung out of your shoes, and you came up with air, and the bat went into the ******* crowd and impaled a dude selling Cracker Jacks. WHIFFFFFF.

HOWEVER, it needs to be looked at in the context of the football team as well. Yes, he's a very good looking prospect (paws) and we're likely better if he signs here, so we need and want him. BUT we have a very good OL class without him, so the true need isn't quite as massive as it is for other positions.

As usual, not always completely black and white. He's a whiff if he goes to USC, and a big one at that, but it's one that can likely be mitigated somewhat easily and doesn't impact the bottom line (aka wins and losses) as much as someone like, say, every Safety we've recruited is.

Canon Pickett committed last month.

Yes Mario has been killing it with finding center prospects we have landed:

* Lee transferred to play for the Miami Hurricanes. On the 2023 season, Lee graded out as a top 15 center and finished with a 76.5 overall grade by PFF
* Carpenter- Started all 13 games at center, earning All-ACC honorable mention recognition as one of conference’s top linemen… Helped offensive line to spot on Joe Moore Award Honor Roll at midseason, honoring nation’s top-performing units
Brockermeyer is next we shall see.

I stand by my he was a cherry on top of the ol class recruit. A miss but not some huge crippling factor.

Mans said we recruited Bubba Sparxxx....sh*t not even Yella wolf or Jelly roll?.

*He was in play because we were in play with his friend Pepe. The minute we got Cantwell the chances of Kolojay dwindled.
He'll committed to usc where he is a west coast kid as is and he'll play with his current roommate and another kid from his prior school before he went to img.

Now if i see a strong of new OG offers heading out then id say he was a huge miss moving forward. Because it would show how much a need it was..and they are now scrambling for different options or dropping current commits.

I mean if we definitely WANT another OLineman, I could see us making another run for Grant Wise - though that is unlikely, or the two UCLA commits from Florida - Johnnie Jones and Micah Smith.

Not sure how those 3 stack up in terms of NIL compared to Kolojay. But I have a feeling though since Kolojay was a IMG guy whose top 3 was Us, USC, and UGA, that he is quite expensive - probably the most expensive of the 4. If we just offered slightly more to whomever is cheapest, I'd be fine.

I do think though the greatest need this class is DL+S. So that's where the primary NIL focus MUST be. But like I can see us attempting a flip for one of those UCLA commits before NSD. Just would make sense to me.

A Miss? Sure.
Far more important recruits and larger positions of Need FOR THIS CLASS? Obviously so as things stand.

Had we actually landed some of these DT+S prospects, maybe Kolojay would have been the biggest remaining guy on the board... but he's isn't. Kolojay isn't the player that changes this class to solid/good to great. That would be landing 2 top DLineman and another good or hopefully great Safety prospect.

Jones and Smith went out there for MONEY.

Kolojay pricing is likely more than there's.

Grant Wise aint coming.

Im with you on the bolded...this ol class is finished (unless your dropping and adding guys that are higher level that want in) . Whatever funds you had ear marked for Kolojay can be applied elsewhere.
the value of an interior ol has to be the lowest value on a football team outside of punter and kicker.

Gun to head and if they asked me THAT I HAVE TO TAKE ANOTHER OL- I would attempt to flip Micah Smith.

Just not a huge miss. I think they recruited him and is a miss because of the time spent, etc...But i think they were aware hence them locking in the Pickett's and the other guys early.

Whats crazy also is USC is bringing in 7 guys as well just like us.

No in all honesty I get what you mean and yeah we are actually on the same page

I think it’s a miss but also do believe we are fine it’s not a sky is falling thing it’s just a tough loss to a program that’s annoying the **** out of me

Notre Dame is right around the corner we gotta stay sharp
