He will do just fine under CMR, I feel he has the intangibles and grittiness to succeed at Miami. Go CANES!
Excited to have a QB1 named. Now he can get all the first team preps and go into full-on prep mode for the season. He can gain chemistry with his WRs. The OL can get familiar with his style of pocket movement and running tendencies. He can become comfortable with his personnel. And he can be consistently challenged running with the 1s.
He made MONEY throws on the road in a conference game. I think he can play, said it from the jump. We have a shot @FSU now.

Do we expect him to run at all? All we said last season was that Richt was only showing pieces of playbook in the first few games, when in reality it turned out, we had very offensive playcalling. Will Malik mix it up?
Malik is fast but not a very elusive runner from what I have seen. Hoping he will surprise me.
He earned it the moderately hard way against this 2nd string defense.... he's prolly ready.
Fixed it for you![]()
YOu do know they all got reps against 1st and 2nd team D, right?
If you think Rosier put up them scrimmage numbers against the #1 D then...
In the same scrimmage he went up against both Ds. He didn't score the TDs against them, but yes some of his completions and yardage were against the 1st team D. We saw as much in the scrimmage clips. You're clowning right now, dude.
I imagine you overly committed to the Perry bandwagon. Don't worry. Perry will be a stud. It just takes time
I'll support him like I do every Cane.

If Rosier ain't picking up at least 2-3 First Downs per game with his legs, Richt's doing something wrong.
What does Rosiers ability to improvise have to do with Richt?
I think the post is about Richt calling designed run plays for Rosier.
Richt doesnt have to do that just like he didnt do it with Ward. Rosier should know when to pick up a 1st down with his legs without designed runs.
Youve got a much better chance picking up a 1st down running on a regular passing than on a designed run.
This is how I found out, let no one tell you Miami isn't always ****ing on their minds or relevant.....

Clearly

I expect 50+ yards a game on the ground for Malik. Some direct runs for him plus a few where the play breaks down.
I couldn't have said it better. Thanks. It's the right decision, and quite frankly I thought it was the obvious one from the day Kaaya declared.
Perry's time will come, but he needs to sit, watch, and learn. He'll be a better prospect for it.
As for Rosier, I know I'm in the minority on this board but I've always liked him as a college qb. He's got traits that I think you can work with....the ball comes out quick and assertive and he's not afraid to push the ball down the field. To me...the game of football has created too many "game manager" types. Everyone is scared to throw the ball more than 5 yards down the field and it leads to opposing defenses crowding the line of scrimmage and squatting on everything.
Throw into the mix his mobility and I think we've got a guy who mixes in well with what this team has. He's got a little gunslinger in him and quite frankly I'm excited to see what he can do with the first team offense this season.
One last thing...I hope some of the retards that post on this site don't judge this kid on the film from the Clemson game. That was a dumpster fire and the kid wasn't prepared at that time to step into that horrible situation. A couple years later the kid has learned and seen a lot since then. Likewise I'd also pump the brakes on calling him a savior based on the Duke tape as that Duke defense wasn't exactly elite. The truth, like most things in life, lies somewhere IN BETWEEN the dumpster fire of Clemson and the scintillating throws made against a bad Duke defense...and in all honesty I think that middle ground is more than enough to get us to 10 wins and a Coastal title this year.
