If Norv Michael at FSU is a "problem" for us then it's only because our bigger problem is ourselves (which has been the case for almost 20 years now). ****, Donnie Mullins at UiF would almost be a joke to us too if we had our program in remotely proper order.

So if anyone really wants to fear some thin resume hick takin' over in Tally and call it an "issue" then ya gotta preface it with "Because we'll remain sucking due to our own incompetence...."

No. He's a good coach. I'm a fan of Memphis. They score a ton of points
Not unless he fixes that rotten culture first. Those guys are too lazy to execute play after play. That could be a career killing move, but at least he'll get a golden parachute.

In my opinion they should have hired Leavitt for two years. Let him clean it up then pass it along.

Seems like a solid hire but considering what could have been I think I’ll take it. And regardless of how it plays out in the long run it’s nice to see FSU fans suffer today after thinking they were getting a “big name” to roll in.

Was it just a rumor or did those clowns really paint their field last week or the week before for what they thought would be part of the Bob Stoops unveiling?

I drink a lot of peach schnapps so I don't remember if I saw that mentioned on CIS or heard it somewhere else.

How many more threads are we going to have so all the CIS puzzies can come in and bleed about how "said coach" is going to be a problem. Wasn't Willie supposed to be a problem too?

He’s better then Taggart (many are).

Other than that?

He’s still taking over a broken culture and a team that has had an exodus of talent with little infusion of talent the last 2-3 years.

Norvell has no QB, no offensive line, no wide receivers worth anything today.
What are the odds that Taggart recruits or Haggins recruits stay either?

They should be worse talent wise in 2020.

Norvell has made it a better program. Since we're referencing VT I actually see Norvell as a Beamer-type coach if hired at FSU (record wise from 2004-2011). A guy who after winning 8-games his first year will win 10 (every now and then 11) games a year (including bowl), but never be a top 5 threat. Consistent top 15 every year at best. Good coach, not a corch, but never someone uber elite. Maybe he strikes gold one year with a Cam Newton or Jameis Winston and makes the playoff.
So he’ll be pretty much another Jimbo at FSU without a Winston?
