BREAKING: Ken Dorsey fired by Buffalo!

Why wouldn’t Dorsey try to put a 100 on someone?

I’m not saying he doesn’t. I’m saying there’s no evidence that’s his offense.

And you can’t actually believe Cristobal has changed until he hires somebody you know does.

The problem with Cristobal’s offense isn’t that it isn’t “NFL” enough. It’s that it isn’t college enough.

Im not saying he's a bad coach because he was fired - my point was maybe he gets tired of being scapegoated and wants to check out the college scene.
He was never OC at Carolina. He was QB coach. Mike was OC.

If Mario hired an NFL OC, it would just be evidence of more of the same bullsh*t that produces the stalled out offenses over Mario’s career.

The only thing that should ever given anyone any hope that anything has changed, is if Mario goes out and hires a Briles or somebody like that.

A pure college offense guy that’s actually trying to put 100 on every team every week. There’s no way you could mold that to Mario’s style of play, so it would have to represent a change.

Dorsey isn’t that.
NFL offenses are just as wide open as college offenses. They are just not playing defenses that have as big of a talent disparity as you have when a college team plays some ****** team that doesn’t belong on the same field as them.

No they aren't lol

Very simple example: RPOs.

NFL offenses are far more complicated with a ton more plays.

The best college systems on a year to year basis over my lifetime are the Air Raid and the Veer and Shoot.

Neither Briles or Leach could have run their offense in the NFL. Which is okay. Because they are college systems.

Spurrier learned that lesson quickly.

I

I knew Cogley (Barry) better than anyone on this board, that being said, I spent more time around not only Kenny, but around the program (close up) from 95-2001 than anyone on this board not named @Brooklyndee .....that "Fans were vicious to Dorsey" is absolute BS.....
I certainly don't remember any of that. He would get criticism we'd hear every now and again. People that didn't know any better would certainly say he was carried by the rest of us. But that's the only thing we ever heard. But as you know Butch kept us away from all those distractions. The one fans were vicious towards was Butch. He didn't care nothing bout that **** though, just like Mario don't.

LOL. Fans were bashing him all the time at Miami. Calling for Brock Berlin every game for a while. You must have been too young to remember what really happened to your “childhood hero”.

Zero chance he wants to come back here and deal with most of you.
What? Literally no one did that. Brock joined the team in 02 and sat the year per transfer rules. Dorsey was on his second Heisman finalist campaign. The only people on the planet criticizing Dorsey were NFL scouts in their projections (which turned out to be accurate).

@Brooklyndee ....I do think the banner hurt him alittle....I was standing not 50ft from him when it was flown, BUT....I truly think he used it as extra Motivation...and 3yrs later everything he worked for came into place.

Actually Brock was running the scout team, but wasn't allowed to play in actual games (per NCAA transfer rules)

If this is the same psycho-killer that quarterbacked Miami back in the early 2000's... the same one that kept press clippings in his pocket during interviews, the one that snapped at Bernie Kosar just before the game winning drive against FSU, the one that won a National Championship with a brand new and first time HC, OC & DC after walking into the AD'S office and demanding the move at 20 years old. If it's that guy... I say hire that guy yesterday. And now he's got NFL experience and a chip on his shoulder. Easy decision.
