BREAKING: Ken Dorsey fired by Buffalo!

I’m surprised you’d even care who the OC is if you’re convinced Mario is going to meddle and make good OCs bad anyways. You like Dawson and think he is a good OC. You hated Gattis. So either way it’s gunna be crap.

Personally I think Dawson stays another year and we get a top QB in the portal. And when we cut down on turnovers this offense will suddenly be good/great again and Mario will have stopped meddling (except for when drives stall or we lose a game of course). If not though I’m sure Dorsey would be one of the first calls - though I’d bet he tries to get another NFL OC job first.
I never said Mario was going to meddle & make a good OC bad.

LOL. Fans were bashing him all the time at Miami. Calling for Brock Berlin every game for a while. You must have been to young to remember what really happened to your “childhood hero”.

Zero chance he wants to come back here and deal with most of you.

Seeing as how Derrick Crudup was the backup in 2001/2002...

But I do remember us flying the banners on the planes that said, "Crudup or Shutup"

Brock wasn't at UM when Dorsey was there except to run the scout team...had to sit out because of transfer.
Lots of people were saying they couldn’t wait for Berlin to take over for Dorsey. Every single week. GTFOOH with this classic message board revisionist history.

Too bad Cogley (RIP) isn’t around to chime in. Fans were vicious to Dorsey. That was one of Cogs’s pet peeves.

But carry on.

Cogley : miss that guy. Solid Cane.

If Mario hired an NFL OC, it would just be evidence of more of the same bullsh*t that produces the stalled out offenses over Mario’s career.

The only thing that should ever given anyone any hope that anything has changed, is if Mario goes out and hires a Briles or somebody like that.

A pure college offense guy that’s actually trying to put 100 on every team every week. There’s no way you could mold that to Mario’s style of play, so it would have to represent a change.

Dorsey isn’t that.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, and I don't want to go through the entire thread to find out... but, if we were so fortunate to see Ken Dorsey return to coach our quarterbacks. I really can't think of a better situation than him molding Emory Williams as they seem cut from the same cloth.

Hory Sheet, Dorsey and Emory in the same room at the same time?

I can only get so erect.

Buffalo fans jump into tables before games, they're not the smartest bunch in the house.

Allens passing attempts haven't noticeably decreased nor increased, everything stays put.

The only thing that has happened is that Allen has not adjusted to the defensive revolution of the NFL and proceeds to play hero ball, which leads into picks.

It's an absolute anomaly for a football team to be this statistically good, yet lose as often as they do. Kurt Benkert, some may know him, analyzed in a YT video what Allen tends to do, which is, instead of taking the available yardage, flaming a deep ball into coverage to force something.
A lot of this was on display during the game here vs the Dolphins last year. Defenses have- amd continue to- adjust. Allen hasn't yet.

The real problem is that, to be an OC, you can't have a name that starts with "D." So, unless he changes his name to Ken Orsey, I'm OUT.

I think at this point Dorsey has enough of a resume that he can bounce around from job to job without leaving the NFL.
👀👀Or now he can go back to…. 👀👀👀

Dorsey isn’t that.
Why wouldn’t Dorsey try to put a 100 on someone?

Reasons why Dorsey would make tremendous sense as the OC here:

1) We need an infusion of stud QBs. If we’re being honest, QB recruiting is currently lagging the talent level at other positions. This is by far our biggest need to take the program to an elite level.

2) Dorsey unquestionably did great work improving Cam Newton.

3) His results in Buffalo are statistically very good also.

4) He had one of the highest winning percentages ever as a QB in CFB.

5) All of the above would be tremendous selling points to top portal & high school QB recruits & WR. We badly need a better pitch to QB & WR recruits.

Ken would also get stability working with Mario (who isn’t going anywhere for a long time).

I think it would literally be nuts to pass on this opportunity, if Ken is interested. Could be a total game changer for us.

I knew Cogley (Barry) better than anyone on this board, that being said, I spent more time around not only Kenny, but around the program (close up) from 95-2001 than anyone on this board not named @Brooklyndee .....that "Fans were vicious to Dorsey" is absolute BS.....

Points 2 and 3 are exactly why there’s no reason for him to take a college OC job. Only way I see him coming back to college would be for a HC position.
