Braxton Berrios (interesting stat)

Yall are ridiculous. Berrios should have always been our slot receiver when we run 3 wide. Why the **** were we doing WR screens to Dayall Harris over Berrios (or Richards)? I get not doing it to Coley because he was so good for us blocking on those screens. But Berrios is much better than Harris.

This year I really hope Richards and Mullins or Cager are on the outside and Berrios stays inside when we run 3 wide. Also, anyone saying he didn't have a good year as PR is crazy.

So McKenzie is the one guy from Heritage that everyone is certain we could have signed? No chance he goes to UGA even if we had offered?

Berrios can do work in the slot next year. But there's no question that McKenzie was the more productive player. Berrios will have to score 14 TDs to match McKenzie's production.

Njoku was the main one lined up in the slot when we went 3/4 wide.

He wanted to come here.

I mean I hate to lose a WR on a year when we have low scholly numbers at the position, but some of yall are acting like he was great. The kid cant get separation at this level, it wasn't nagging injuries, it wasn't him being misused, he's just not putting it all together on the field. On top of that no matter how he feels about transferring, he will not find a more favorably situation then ours, we will literally have like 7 receivers, three of which will be freshmen.

For some reason it's very hard for people on here to come to the realization that one of our players simply isn't that good.

They did it with Jelani Hamilton. ("He hurt his knee in high school.")
They did it with Malcolm Lewis. ("His leg had to be reattached.")
They did it with Tracy Howard. ("The scheme ruined him.")
And now they're doing it with Berrios. ("He's being misused.")

As far as Tracy goes he spent an entire year on an NFL roster after being a UDFA. Cleveland or not thats an accomplishment. They're playing him at FS and on special teams. Maybe he was just out of position.

Why isn't he playing CB then?
I watched the Browns a couple times this year. He never sees the field at Safety either.

Translation: He isn't that good.

LOL

Later in the season maybe. Not early in the season. Harris was getting alot of the RPO bubble screens. My point is it makes no **** sense to have Harris or Lewis in at all over Berrios especially on plays that get them open in space.

Berrios is TERRIBLE in open space though.

"Keep my name out their mouth if they don't know me."

Somebody better get on the horn and warn Mel Kiper then.

part of the kids problem is he is too arrogant. you are right, he is not good in open space. my problem with him is watch him. every catch hes jumping, diving, etc. he tries to showboat and thats why he drops easy passes.

I don't know if he's arrogant or not. Seems like a good kid too. I just don't think he's very good.

FWIW, My father met him at a restaurant and said he was a super nice guy and pretty humble and seemed genuinely thankful when my dad said he was a big fan. Maybe it's this new age where people have to front on social media? Idk but I agree seems like a good kid

Berrios was great all year. Did you guys see the games.
By far our best blocker all year long

I agree on social media but not that kids need to front. I think its just that a kid could chill out in his apartment and ask his roomates, "should I transfer for my senior season to find a better situation to help me get drafted...." Only to find that info getting out on social media. There's a world of difference between doing some soul searching and actually transferring, however, on twitter its all the same, which is why I think he called out Macho (lol).

Play him in the slot, does anyone remember the catch against Duke? One of the best I've seen in a long time, not counting some NFL guys.
He should develop into a reliable third down guy this coming season, someone on the field a new/young QB needs in the huddle..JMO!

didn't realize he only had 12 catches this yr. 4 of which came against west Virginia
